In this episode of The Left’s Insidious Crusade to Destroy America as We Know It…
All versions of the Bible and an illustrated version of Anne Frank’s diary have been pulled from shelves by a school district in the Dallas-Forth Worth area. As reported by the Dallas Morning News, the Keller Independent School District emailed principals on Tuesday morning ordering the removal of the books.
Jennifer Price, the district’s curriculum director, sent principals a set of instructions, along with a spreadsheet of all books about which families or members of the community have complained.
By the end of today, I need all books pulled from the library and classrooms. More information will be sent regarding action for these books. … Once this has been completed, please email me a confirmation. We need to ensure this action is taken by the end of today.
Panic much, Ms. Price? Why? Never mind — we already know the answer. The school district either caved to a vocal minority of leftist bigots or agreed with their bigotry from the outset. Either way, I’ll go out on a limb and bet y’all [Texas talk] were scared to death of a lawsuit.
District spokesman Bryce Nieman said Keller school trustees recently approved a new policy that requires every book that was previously challenged to be reconsidered.
To be fair, many of the titles focused on gay or transexual themes, including the book that started the whole thing, “Gender Queer: A Memoir,” a graphic novel by Maia Kobabe that explores gender identity and sexual orientation and includes illustrations depicting oral sex.
But the Bible? Or the diary of a young Jewish girl and her family hiding from Hitler’s Nazis?
Incidentally, 15-year-old Anne and her family were ultimately captured and sent to the Bergen-Belsen concentration camp. Anne was just 16 when she died.
Neiman was unsure of the timeline for the review process to be completed. No doubt — more than 800 titles were on the removal list. Just me, or does Ray Bradbury’s Fahrenheit 451 come to mind?
Later in the day, another message went out from the district’s associate superintendent, in obvious response to dissatisfaction with the earlier order that the books be pulled from school shelves:
Books that meet the new guidelines will be returned to the libraries as soon as it is confirmed they comply with the new policy. We hope to be able to expedite the process and return eligible books into circulation as soon as possible.
Here’s where the crazy starts.
The decision came after Texas education officials began an investigation in December into claims that the district did not properly evaluate the books that had made their way into classrooms and school libraries, which may have resulted in sexually explicit materials being made accessible to school-aged children.
Stop the tape.
I’m no Bible scholar, but I’m unaware of sexually explicit content in the Bible. And while Anne Frank’s diary covers the period in which she goes through puberty and experiences a mutual attraction with a teenage boy, there is no inappropriate sexually explicit content in the diary, either.
Anyway, Texas Governor Greg Abbott called on state education officials at the time to investigate “the availability of pornography” in public schools and to develop new standards that would prevent “obscene content in Texas public schools.” Who knew that list would include the Bible and Anne Frank’s diary?
Shocked? Me, neither.
The books pulled from shelves are undergoing a second review by staff and librarians under a new policy adopted last week, the school district said in a statement. Parents and staff have met behind closed doors to review books that could be considered controversial and determine if they have a place in schools.
How much would you like to observe those discussions?
Christians and other various other moralists incensed over the removal of the Bible and Anne Frank’s diary pitted against those who believe “Gender Queer: A Memoir” is a swell read for the kiddies.
The bottom line:
It’s “almost” like the Keller Independent School District yanked the Bible and Frank’s diary from shelves in an attempt to demonstrate “fairness” to the LGBTQ and drag queen crowds, huh? Color me cynical.
This story was discussed here last night.
That is not the orginal story of Anne Frank at all.
Some posters said it was a debauched, pornographic version to the same story. Why someone would create such a vulgar cartoon book, I don’t know. Probably the usual reasons for something outrageous, to shock and to make money.
Unless the parents in KISD are as crazy as these loons that say what stays and goes then cut off funding of any kind to them. Officials need to start telling these vermin NO! Pornographic materials OUT.......Bible and Anne Frank STAYS!!!

Oh my
You are correct. It is a graphic novel version of “The Diary of Anne Frank” that is being removed for review.
Use this as a template to remove EVERY book from the library. Then sue when not enacted equally?
Rumored to be a LGBT version of Ann Frank.
Matthew 24:14-16

I have extreme bias against the town of Keller related to a Capital Murder trial I had involvement in ‘95.
Jennifer Price is full of hate people outside her tiny little group of know-it-alls.
I believe the Anne Frank being pulled is not the original. Try getting your kids an Amazon gift card solely for books or be more hands on and take them to your favorite book store once a month and let them choose a couple books. Nobody is forcing kids to go to the public skool library. Take responsibility. Stop looking to big gov to take care of things.
This ping list is for the other articles of interest to homeschoolers about education and public school. This can occasionally be a fairly high volume list. Articles pinged to the Another Reason to Homeschool List will be given the keyword of ARTH. (If I remember. If I forget, please feel free to add it yourself)
The main Homeschool Ping List handles the homeschool-specific articles. I hold both the Homeschool Ping List and the Another Reason to Homeschool Ping list. Please freepmail me to let me know if you would like to be added to or removed from either list, or both.
I'm guessing the "pornographic version" is actually meant to portray Frank as a heroic gay martyr.
The gay press has lately been promoting the idea that Anne Frank was a lesbian. They claim the gay parts were censored from her diary when first published.
Google "Anne Frank lesbian" and many stories come up.

I don’t know anything about this, but if this is a bad version then hopefully that would be posted before people get upset.
Any anti-Semitism here? Got to be more than just a coincidence.
