Im old ...... Been packing a blue line special Gen 5, Glock 19 since that one came out . Added a Trijicon RMR and a 3 pound trigger . Tall suppressor H3 sights that are co-witnessed with my RMR red dot. Carry one, (1) spare mag. Use 147 grain Speer GDHP in both mags for my concealed carry.
Thursdays are fresh fodder days, 31 rounds ...... Speed Rock, El Presidente, and adjusted point of aim at 50 yards.
I’m old ...... but fast.
Thank the lord I’ve never had to use “this” handgun .........yet.

Is your Glock slide a pre-cut MOS, or did you have a slide cut specifically for the RMR?

Mine was a MOS factory , pre-cut . Trijicon plate with trijicon H3 suppressor tall sights they co-witness perfectly. Glocks are tools versus hollywood heirlooms. I’ve dropped, kicked, thrown and dragged down a caliche farm road at 20mph for a mile. It’s fugly but all in the A zone. Sort of how i look after all my sudden stops in life. Durable tool .....”like me” .
The RMR survived as did the suppressor sights......
My other side chick’s are / is a Texas MR920 elite and a P365 Sig-SAS .....
It’s working for me . Check yer FFL gunrunner for the blue line specials .... A DD214 or Retired DD2AF or the Navy variant will get you a great price !!!

When Kyle was on the ground it appeared his rifle jammed and gave the rioter with the pistol what seemed to be his chance to kill Kyle. Kyle cleared it too quickly though - that was very impressive and probably saved his life.
And then Kyle stood up and there was a guy with a baseball bat - but Kyle quickly saw that he was not a threat, then ran off while also scanning for other attackers.
So while his shots may not have been impressive, his presence of mind in a tense situation, dealing with a jam (or whatever it was), and knowing when to shoot/ don’t shoot - that showed training.
That’s a good tip about the Glock “blue line” with DD214.
