Let's just throw America away!!

Question? ... How ashamed should we be for the hundreds of thousands of military veterans who gave their lives and limbs fighting for our Constitutional rights and freedoms??? And look where our supposed justice(sic) system is today!

The purpose of a trial is to determine the facts of the case. This has nothing to do with the first amendment, that’s for subsequent appeals at the appellate or higher level. Did he say what he said knowing what he knew, yes or no.

If I were a judge you damned well bet I’d be unfavorably disposed to anyone saying “this is rigged” before the event.

The first amendment does *not* cover defamation of character (libel or slander), just as it does not cover incitement to riot, assault, or revealing classified intelligence (unless revealing such is in the national interest and shouldn’t have been classified).

If he knew his claims were false and still made them, therefore painting the parents as liars, that is *not* covered, never has been, never will be.

Very poor “legal” analysis by an unnamed “legal advisor” who I suspect is not an attorney.

Finally, the Texas judge has determined that the “jury shall be instructed” to find any arguments about Infowars’ journalistic practices to be “established in favor of the Plaintiff.”

The judge is telling the "jury" how they should vote?

We are not a nation of laws.

We are a nation of lawyers.

Arrogant, greedy, criminal lawyers.

I’m not likely to ever be on a jury. But I will say frankly, that my opinion on the verdict would be 100% driven by the question, “Do I want this guy to be punished?” In today’s world, I don’t see guilty or innocent really being a decising factor since our legal system is over-burdened with stupid laws: everyone is guilty of everything to some degree. I’d sit through an Alex Jones trial and then declare him innocent. While walking out the door afterwards I might ask “What were the charges?” But I probably wouldn’t even bother.

We don’t have a Justice system. We have a system of “Let’s get the guys we don’t like”.

failed to produce documents that don’t exist:

Uh, that's not what thay says. It says he failed to produce documents that do exist. This would happen to any defendant who did that.

I guess some want this guy to be a conservative hero. He just looks like a self-obessesed nut to me with no regard for anyone else.

He said the dead children were ‘crisis actors’, and said those poor children had not died. He called the parents of the dead children liars for saying they had lost sons and daughters. What kind of person would do that?

Sorry, he’s just another publicity seeking scumbag who is now whining about having to face the consequences of his actions.

I’ve been an on and off fan of Alex Jones for many years; mostly off. But I found his whole thing about Sandy Hook incredibly vile....and for no conceivable gain. I never saw what the hell he was getting at; nor how bent out of shape he got over it (easy to say with so many years in hindsight). He went way, way overboard and while I don’t wish him ill in any way, he’s gonna pay a massive price for his hubris. The legal system is gonna chew him up very badly.

Alex. make the judge arrest you on air! It will be prime time video and rebroadcast in 154 languages.

No greater publicity could ever be bought. And then sue him and everyone around him till the lawyers bleed.

If these are not criminal trials, and in fact civil trials, guilt and innocence should not be terms that are in the article.

The article seems to imply that he can’t speak about those issues at all. The excerpts from the ruling indicate he can’t mention those issues before a jury at trial — such limitations are not unusual.

The Left is all out in the open now. The Left thinks it has won, and is merely implementing its historical play book of tyranny. It is like the Supreme Court nominee who refused to define the concept of what a woman is — she was saying: “I’m in, and there is nothing you can do about it, cracker.”

“Alex Jones, we have you trussed up and there is nothing you can do about it.”

I haven't read all the pleadings, but it sounds like Jones' defaulted. That means he failed to respond to the lawsuit or otherwise ignored court order and deadlines. If you have a default judgement issued against you, you've lost. So this trial appears to be damages only, and in that case, you're not allowed to argue liability at all.

So just taking it as a normal legal case, those rulings look legitimate. That's what happens.

Jones defaulted because the court found discovery violations.

He’s already been “found guilty” in that sense. This idiotic blog author doesn’t have a clue about what happened and why and is beating the drum of stupid for the trailer park idiots.

It’s all unconstitutional.

They cannot technically order him to do that, although we all know what the left thinks of the Constitution.
