Sonia Sotomayor Blunts Hillary Clinton's Attack on Clarence Thomas

During an interview with "CBS Mornings" Tuesday, twice failed Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton launched an attack on the character of Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas.

But just two weeks ago, liberal Justice Sonia Sotomayor, who works with Justice Thomas nearly every day, detailed how kind and generous he is.

"I suspect that I have disagreed with him more than any other Justice...and yet, Justice Thomas is the one Justice in the building that literally knows every employee's name. Every one of them. And not only does he know their names, he remembers their families' names and histories. He's the first one to go up to someone when you're walking with him and say, 'Is your son okay? How is your daughter doing in college?' He's the first one that, when my stepfather died, sent me flowers in Florida," Sotomayor said.

Do you remember the Clint Eastwood movie where he explains the only three things than can happen to dog$#*+? Great scene, one in the Dirty Harry series.

It was shocking to see the Mayor of Chicago to scream liberal epithets about Justice Thomas.

>> Justice Thomas is the one Justice in the building that literally knows every employee’s name. Every one of them.

While HRC wanted everyone in the WH to hide so she wouldn’t have to even see the lowly staff members.

Maybe she will repent of her evil ways, but maybe she will end up having to lick clean the soles of Justice Thomas’s shoes forever amid fire.

When I was in my 20s, at Berkeley Law, I was a Democrat. But I began to notice that my conservative male friends were more truly my friends than the liberal men were. They were genuinely concerned about my safety and well-being. No coincidence that, even before I realized I was conservative, I was married-to-one.
So, doesn’t surprise me a bit that Clarence knows everyone by name and is genuine in his concern for them.

Yes, Scalia loved to sing and Ginsburg was apparently quite a good piano player, so they would go to parties (with their spouses) and she would accompany him on the piano while he sang.

Apparently, both Scalia and Ginsburg were opera buffs and they liked to talk about the opera.

There was a Supreme Court term within the last few years (it may have been the 2016-17 term) where the two justices who voted together more than any other pair were Clarence Thomas and Darth Bader Ginsburg.

High-profile cases get a lot of media coverage, but the reality is that a lot of the decisions issued by the Supreme Court are pretty inconsequential and are decided along very narrow interpretations of the law.

I am reminded of a story related to when the pizzeria in Indiana shut down because of the online mob anger following a comment from one of the family members who ran the pizzeria to a local news reporter saying in theory that they would not cater a gay wedding if asked.

A few days afterwards when it was determined safe for the family to come out of hiding and reopen their business, the father/owner appeared on a local radio talk show and read out some of the most angry and hateful tweets or Facebook or newsgroup comments about him and his family and he simply said that he was not angry with these people and that he felt sorry for them that they carried those sorts of sentiments inside themselves.

Justice Thomas is the one Justice in the building that literally knows every employee’s name

That’s called being a person who actually does care and has real compassion for his fellow man/woman. And people like PIAPS don’t have a fiber in their body that allows them to speak to the “ordinary people” as they are beneath her.

There was an old adage I heard a long time ago….a college professor told students in his Business class to become friends with the janitors. Never know where information might flow from……Pays to be nice.

After being dismissed as a DNC Law,er in Watergate you’d be right to see her accusing someone of her own behavior. If there is to be any truth in Hillarys statement a woman will die... let it be her.

“ He’s the first one that, when my stepfather died, sent me flowers in Florida,” Sotomayor said.”

Another reminder how important it is to do nice things for people even if we don’t agree with them.
People remember gestures of kindness

Uh-oh, this is problematic for the narrative. When are they going to start picketing outside Sotomayor’s house?

Above is a good article by Thomas in remembrance of Ginsburg. Obviously they disagreed on things, but it sounds like the two of them were professional while also being friendly.

It could just as easily collapse in the bitter, angry and woke cesspool that is American national politics in Washington DC

Just wait for the Fall Session. Ketanje-Brown will be coming onto the Court. I don't see her as someone who is going to play nice.
