"Nothing Changes Today” – Lawless NYC Mayor Eric Adams Promises to Ignore Supreme Court Ruling on Concealed Gun Laws

ABC 7 New York reported on the verdict:

The justices’ 6-3 decision is expected to ultimately allow more people to legally carry guns on the streets of the nation’s largest cities – including New York, Los Angeles and Boston – and elsewhere. About a quarter of the U.S. population lives in states expected to be affected by the ruling, the high court’s first major gun decision in more than a decade.

The ruling comes as Congress is actively working on gun legislation following recent mass shootings in Texas,New York and California.

Justice Clarence Thomas wrote for the majority that the Constitution protects “an individual’s right to carry a handgun for self-defense outside the home.”

In their decision, the justices struck down a New York law requiring people to demonstrate a particular need for carrying a gun in order to get a license to carry one in public. The justices said the requirement violates the Second Amendment right to “keep and bear arms.”

Tyrannical and lawless New York City Mayor Eric Adams made an announcement following the release of the ruling.

Adams told New Yorkers, “Nothing changes today… It ignores the presence (sp) and it endangers our future.”

The case in NYS specific because of the Petitioners...but I believe it will apply to ALL states. So we can look at laws regarding CARRY in all states and apply this ruling.

Republicans in NY should be demanding that he step down IF he won’t abide by the ruling- He isn’t king- pretending he is is a violation of everything our nation stands for- He is declaring himself lawless, and above the law-

Remember when Adams’ election was viewed as a possible step in the right direction by many conservatives? How wrong we were! Adams is a dingbat, slack-jawed stupid, and seems to think he is above the law.

The DemocratCommunists pay just as much attention to the Supreme Court as they do to the US Constitution:

None.

If the mayor of NYC will violate the U.S. Constitution regarding the Second amendment, what stops him from violating the rest of the Bill of Rights?

Answer: the Second amendment.

IF they gain the majority, then they should be impeaching anyone that doesn’t comply with the ruling- Mayors and governors are not kings- they are not above the law-

This says 25% of states will be affected. Other stories have said it only covers the 6 states (12%) that have “may issue” laws.

I wonder if this will cleanse those states that have “shall issue”, but no preemption, with cities that don’t allow CCW. Like Colorado with Denver.

I’m waiting for all the results of this ruling to wash over the land. Let freedom ring!

I stand corrected, they are actually from the county next to me upstate... Robert Nash and Brandon Koch reside in Rensselaer County and are petitioners in the case. It’s odd because that county is one of the easiest now to get the concealed permit.

Sort of the point, dissimular enablement and enforcement. The odds of permit must issue holder omitting a crime is about that of being killed by a lighting bolt inside. There are more cops convicted of murder per year than permit holders in the blue states of the midwest.

Unfortunately, you still need government permission to carry.
This ruling says they can’t refuse just because your reason isn’t “good enough”.

I have not yet seen, or done, a deep examination of the decision.
