As a prepper, you might sometimes need to look more intimidating, such as when you’re trying to scare off a potential attacker.
Even under normal circumstances, you can benefit from knowing how to look intimidating, like if you want to be taken seriously at work. (h/t to TheSurvivalMom.com)
Body language and how it affects how people perceive you You’re always communicating, even if you’re not saying a word to another person.
Consciously or unconsciously, you say things through your gestures, movements and facial expressions. Other people also perceive attitudes, personality and character qualities from these actions.
In fact, nonverbal communication holds tremendous sway in your communications with other people. If you’re talking to someone, tilting your head to one side or leaning in indicates interest.
If your arms are crossed, you will seem defensive while nail-biting can signal nervousness and anxiety.

Or as James Mattis says, “be polite, be professional, but have a plan to kill everybody you meet”
I just pretend I'm looking at a dead carcass on the side of the road.
Exactly! My older son heard that on a regular basis from one of his track coaches!
I only saw about 3 episodes.
That was one of them.
Fashion. It’s important.
🤪
Carry a chain saw and wear a goat head mask.
Thanks, I’m going to have to practice that attitude. I only wear a jacket in the winter. Maybe I can pretend to have an eagle under my blouse (or inside my purse?). My niece has shown me pictures of undergarments like a camisole that can conceal a gun. You’d never know she was packing unless she showed you on purpose.
Look like a crazy karen. We all run fast from those things.
Take your hat off.
“Take your hat off.”
“we”
Not we.
?
Better hint. Don’t concern yourself with other’s apparel.
The same way one would walk if not armed, as a calm, even-tempered regular person who is an unknown quantity to those who are looking for a victim. A “Gray man”. Everything else is facade.
The real deal...
.
Thx, that looks pretty handy.
My standard response is, "Time to get a f***ing watch, ni**er!"
Hostile Caucasians scare them. They're not used to it and they don't know how to react. While they're stunned, I put as much distance between us as possible. No need to shoot them and have to fill out reams of paperwork.
I was a late bloomer, so I didn’t hit six feet until my junior year in high school. Prior to that I had to “lay hands” on a few people to get them to understand my needs.
Apparently I do the stair or eye thing and wasn’t aware of it until my wife pointed it out one day. We were sitting in the theater waiting for a movie to start with our young kids twenty years ago. According to my wife I was talking to her and three late teen early twenties guys walked in. She said as soon as I saw them I sat up straighter in my seat, moved my hand near the area where I was carrying my pistol and she said I watched them with the pissed Arnold Schwarzenegger look from the movie True Lies until they passed, then sat down and then I didn’t avert my stair until she got my attention and said why are you doing Arnold with them? Huh? Then she explained everything I did and said you do this from time to time, why? I don’t know, they just set off a red alert in my head, I can’t explain it. She says I still do it to this day with certain people we encounter.
