BREAKING: NASCAR apologizes to 'LGBTQ+ community' after allowing Gov Abbott to wave green flag

NASCAR apologized to the LGBTQ community on Wednesday, for so-caled "recent actions" that may not have "alligned" with the auto racing giant's "mission to be a welcoming sport for all."

"As we celebrate the LGBTQ+ community, we acknowledge that recent actions have not alligned with NASCAR's mission to be a welcoming sport for all," the statement said.

"We remain steadfast in our commitment to create a more inclusive environment – in our workplaces, at the race track & in the stands," the post concludes, along with along with a graphic featuring the so-called "progress" pride flag and a message wishing fans a happy pride month. That "progress" flag is representative of dozens of sexual orientations, gender identities, and racial identities where they link with sexual orientation or gender identity.

I watched a lot of the Coca-Cola 600 Sunday. I recognized more driver names in the broadcast crew than I did on the track. With the new rules and the wokeness permeating NASCAR, I won't be back.

I used to plan my weekends around the Cup race.

Thank you for posting this...I saw a tweet from NASCAR that was full of “rainbow” this and that, including starters flags, apologizing for something. But I had no idea what they were apologizing for.

This is what irritates me. It is mostly White Southerners who keep NASCAR going, so why haven’t these good folks simply told NASCAR to shove their Confederate Flag Hating, Queer Loving crap up their a$$es and just quit patronizing NASCAR???

All it would take is one year of empty stands and maybe whoever runs it would give the boot to them. Hell, if NASCAR had to go back to a group of guys working on cars in their own garage, and tell the Sponsors to F**K Off, I think the sport would be better for it.

And since that don’t happen, it must mean most people don’t care enough about racially divisive BS and Queer nonsense to start with, and that means America is going downhill.

Having said that, I was on the track one time in Bristol. Was amazed at how small the track was and how steep the banking was.

There is a race track within a half mile of our home, a third of a mile oval with high banks like the one you described. It's been there since the early 1960s, I think, but I only visited it to attend a semi-pro football game in the 1960s...(Franklin Miners 6, Jersey Sharks 0) until there was a support your police rally a couple of years ago. Before the race season opened this spring, I heard the activity on the track and stopped in out of curiosity. Watched them do some time trials for qualifying.

That hasn't been working out too well for NOOSECAR lately either. Only a handful of cars now have season long primary sponsorships. The days of knowing every race team just by the color scheme of its sponsor are gone. Every race is a different wrap. Even its premier series doesn't have a season long sponsor. It is no longer the Winston, Nextel, Sprint or Monster Energy Cup series, but rather the NASCAR Cup series. Then we have the gimmicks. Every time my old local track, Freeport Speedway NY, got in financial trouble, the gimmicks would come out. Crasheroos, No Ford races, VW Bug ONLY races, open cockpit modified races...still, that track is long gone. NASCAR is doing the same stuff, the Chase, multiple road(?) courses, the "Roval", dirt races in the LA Colosseum and Bristol and don't forget all the iterations of the Car Of Tomorrow. NASCAR is circling the drain and ever since that lecture by Suarez and the virtue signalling pit road parade at Talladega, they're taking that ride without me.
