A rather peculiar moment occurred during the Congressional hearings on Unidentified Aerial Phenomenal (UAPs, aka, UFOs) Tuesday (May 17). Congressman Mike Gallagher (R-Wis) asked a question about the 1967 Malmstrom Air Force Base incident, and got a rather astonishing, shall we call it, non-reply. Scott Bray, the deputy director of Naval Intelligence, responded that he knew nothing of the event, other than that it has received some publicity outside of official channels.
Of course, we cannot expect that the foremost people leading the UAP investigations, especially at this initial stage, will know everything about every reported incident going back decades. However, that was not the gist of Bray’s response. He did not characterize the reported incident as minor, which it certainly was not. It involved the security of nuclear missiles. What he said was that, apparently, the UAP investigators do not possess any official records of the matter. They have not looked into it. They have nothing to say about it.
One might expect a number of possible responses that would indicate at least some degree of interest in this kind of potential threat to national security, especially since over the years, other, less spectacular sightings have been made in the vicinity of restricted areas. Bray tried to explain that his agency looks into matters only when they have been reported to it by “authoritative” persons. Mike Gallagher averred that he does not consider himself to be authoritative, but that he was at that moment requesting that Bray look into it. Bray allowed that he will.

I ranted on this subject yesterday.
It is good that this article touched this topic, but they did so in a very understated way.
Further reading for anyone interested in the subject of UFOs and nukes in the US:

I linked to the old version of this book to show that the topic was fully discussed and understood by 2008.
This hearing and “investigation” is kabuki theatre at its finest.
From recent news and pictures I don’t see any new evidence pro or con.
I think this UFO publicity is just another thing to distract from Biden’s failures.
They’re just planes , Stupid
Only one reason why the politicians would be interested in this subject after so many years. Grandstanding - distraction - running out of other things to mess up!!
It’s so good to know that this country has nothing pressing to worry about!
The subject is a very complex one.
But—you are correct that Congress is stupid.
They are never going to figure this stuff out—waste of time for them to try.
The slow motion disclosure started in about 2017.
This hearing was funereal at best.;-)
Blurry photos and sleepy commentary about unidentified atmospheric flotsam/jetsam.
How long until we see it reported that” yes they are among us...and they are hiding out as members of ultramaga carrying out king maga’s orders to dominate the planet”!
They know a ton more than they are telling.
“This hearing and “investigation” is kabuki theatre at its finest.”
No offense intended here, but everything we are “allowed” to see (Congressional hearings, investigations, etc.) is Kabuki theatre. It is all scripted and the end results are predetermined.
To wit:
Sept. 11th hearings were worthless and established an official narrative that holds water as well as a fisherman’s net.
Supreme Court Justice confirmation hearings are a lot of theatre and drama but already predetermined before they begin. Kavanaugh, Kahan, Sotomayor, Barret, and the most recent addition, all went through without a hitch (aside from some idiotic drama to appease the far left).
On the flip side, Barry Obama’s COLB, college tuition, transcripts and thesis are locked up and hidden away an Joe Biden received 80 million votes and Congress didn’t question it. No investigations and no hearings.
It’s all theatre and we are shown only what “they” want us to see.
It was akin to a murder investigation wherein the prime suspect wanted to talk about his traffic violations instead of his history of attempted murders.
Why this? Why now? Perhaps I’m cynical but trotting out this old UFO stuff for a Congressional hearing could be another attempt to divert the publics gaze on the utter failure of Biden’s Administration
"Look! Squirrel!...works.
The opposition still uses these tired old narratives (like identity politics) thinking we are stupid/weak enough to keep falling prey to/surrendering to them...perhaps they are right, as they still own the means(media/academia)to make it stick.
In ~1975, a green meteor exploded around 11pm in Del Valle Regional Park, near Livermore, CA. The next morning police and rangers searchers found no debris or crater. Then, at noontime the next day, when everyone was having lunch, a UFO landed in the parking lot at Lawrence Livermore Lab [LLL]. Thousands of LLL employees and govt. contractors saw it land and take off again straight up zip. Everyone ran out to see it.
This book argues that the “disclosure” has actually been going on for many decades—fascinating read even though I do not agree with the author on some points:
https://www.amazon.com/Managing-Magic-Governments-Disclosure-Plan/dp/1542857694
The author thinks it is genuine disclosure. I think it is fake disclosure designed to keep the peons dazed and confused.
“It was akin to a murder investigation wherein the prime suspect wanted to talk about his traffic violations instead of his history of attempted murders.”
My version would be: It is akin to a murder investigation where government authorities wanted to discuss their filing system for cold cases.
