I think the firing of these people is foreshadowing that fake accounts are not less than 5%

There are a lot of spam accounts related to stock tickers.
It is very obvious. Plug in certain stock tickers and you will see the same worded post over and over...usually trying to get you to buy into their stock picking service.
But there are also the kind that are trying to influence the market for pump and dumps..especially penny stocks
Exactly
Their Achilles’ heel (the true number of fake accounts).
It will be the twit’s undoing (board & management, plus a potential windfall in savings for Musk...assuming that the SEC doesn’t sweep in and actually function as a government agency, unlike others).
If only Rush were alive to see this. His investigation showed there were seven or eight people including a college professor from California who were carrying out massive campaigns against EIB using bots. The bots would tweet his sponsors threatening to boycott their products unless they stopped advertising on his show. Following the Sandra-The-Slut-Fluke flap it got so bad that Rush , who never apologized, was forced to issue a half apology to keep his advertisers from bailing. Rush showed them proof that it was all a hoax. After that Twitter campaigns against his company became less effective. But it brought to light how easily hoaxes could be run on Twitter regarding public opinion.

Elon Musk drops Twitter deal bombshell
I am reminded of a similar buyout a while back — a TBoonePickens type thing.
Anyhoo, the buyer questioned whether the company to be bought was viable since it looked like so many of its “customers” were actually leaching off of them. Think the thieves that cut into a cable and steal service.
Well, in this case the thieves were illicitly downloading code updates on boxes, and then using said box to steal .....”stuff”. Like Twitter’s bots, usage and whatnot were being inflated and the buyer wanted to lower his offer.
So, the techies finally got off their butts and did something. They told him “watch this”. With each regular update/download a little bit of extra code was included. With the next a little bit more. Yada, yada. At an appointed time the extra code was activated, called home, and confirmed whether or not the box it was on was legit. If legit, nothing happened. If not, the extra code fried the box. Turned it into an unusable brick. Could not be fixed.
Buyer was impressed and bought them.
If Twitter had not been profiting from their bots they would have done something similar.
Will Jon Voight bite Elon like he did Kramer?
bkmk
If he did, Elon could compare it to the bite marks on the pencil at the John Voight desk at Twitter.
I’ve been plagued with Trolls and bots for years. Right now they appear to be a lot less than normal. But I have blocked a few this week. They clearly only exist to cause trouble and argue with any who don’t support the #ComDem Agenda.
How ever it works out, Elon Musk is sure shaking the freaks up.
If the sale goes through, he will change the tone and a lot of ComDem Freaks will be out of a job.
Regardless, they are exposed now.
The numbers that Twitter released say the number of real accounts is 1% less than they originally estimated.
They have let some old accounts that were suspended be reactivated. That boosts their numbers.
For years, I averaged between 150K and 300K impressions per month. There were times it hit 4-500K per month. But the past 2 years it has dropped to the point that I simply quit posting. They have frozen my account 3 times over the years. 2 of them in the past 2 months.
Now suddenly, I’m back up to about 15K per month. Most of that activity only exists in the past 10 days.
It took longer than I thought for Twatter to lock my account since I went back last month. LOL! I posted a meme of Moochelle, and got a lot ‘LIkes’.
Your account is locked
“After careful review, we determined your account broke the Twitter Rules. Your account is temporarily in read-only mode, which means you can’t Tweet, Retweet, or Like content. Most accounts regain full access in a week, but it could take longer.”
It would be funny if.....
“I am cancelling my bid for Twitter. My next venture will now be bankrolling the campaign of the Presidential run of Donald Trump.”
Let the meltdown commence.
