Doom! Gloom! The end is coming soon! Oh, woe is me! Lay down your weapons! Let’s surrender!
...
Look, I know that some of the regulars — and heaven help me, one or two times a year, me, myself — will fall into doomer mode at times.
Standing on the ramparts is tiring work, and not only are the slings and arrows painful, what hurts the most is the HOWLING incoherence of the opposition. For a certain type of odd, who seems to congregate here, to be honest, we prefer to be called bad names than to be screamed random slogans at. Because we don’t so much mind being hated, but we’d like it to MAKE SENSE.
Sometimes we all fall into doom.
But you have to realize, if you’ve read military history that when the enemy’s main tactic is yelling at you to shut up and give up, they’re losing.
They’re losing big.
To an extent the leftist/collectivist project always was losing. You can’t fight reality. She’s a stone cold b*tch.

Yes she is.
“They won’t win, but they can make us lose.”
With ‘friends’ like the current crop of RINOs, we don’t NEED any enemies!
“Or at least hurt badly. We’re going to take damage, that’s unavoidable. We’ll have to rebuild and that’s annoying.”
THIS never ends, and History shows us that time and time again! We let the Socialists take over for a while, they eff everything up, leave us with a dung heap and Conservatives have to rebuild again!
Sadly, the RINO idea of ‘rebuilding’ is throwing even MORE tax dollars (Your money! My money!) at things!
My only saving HOPE is that we all work and work HARD at our local levels. Concentrate on local Judges, Sheriffs, School Board Members and your Governor! They are our best hope at the state level to stem the tide of Socialism.
As conservatives, we want to be left alone and assume everyone else shares our beliefs in our nation’s founding. They don’t. The left wants to destroy every fiber of normality in the US.
You’re right, we have to get off our butts and get involved. For me, I already work 80 hours each week, but hope to run for local office when I retire. (If I get to retire..)
I loved that show.

Roy Clark was an amazing guitar picker.

And BANJO!..................
“Doom, despair, and agony on me
Deep dark depression, excessive misery
If I had no bad luck I’d have no luck at all
Doom Despair and agony on me.”
I’ve worked on a number of campaigns through the years. I haven’t had the desire to run yet, but the right opportunity hasn’t presented itself, either.
Until then, I’ll help my friends. :)
I don’t need your gloom and doom. There is too much of that around. I didn’t get past the first two sentences. How about news on arrests and why there were so many cops around the dc capitol yesterday.
The republic is falling, it’s the end of days and the moon is turned to blood.
Other than that, its a great day!
I like the rest of the song too:
We figured she was rich, loaded to the hilt
And we figured she had class like the Vanderbilts
‘Cause we had heard for years how she was so well reared
How was we to know they meant the way she was built
Yes, he was. When my teenage son recently started to take an interest in learning the guitar, I pulled up some videos of Roy Clark to show him one of the best at his craft.
Roy published an entire line of his Roy Clark Method to teach guitar. Don’t know if they’re still available but I had some back in the day.
I wasn’t a country music fan but the technique crossed all lines.

Thanks, I’ll have to see if I can find that.
