Superman New Cape
Warning! Spoilers for DC Pride #1 by DC Comics
In a brand new look at a heartwarming story from the upcoming DC Pride anthology from DC Comics, Superman gets a new cape that's the perfect modern upgrade for the hero. In a sneak peek at the Jon Kent-starring story, his boyfriend Jay Nakamura gives him a colorful new cape with the Pride Flag that turns out to be a fitting gift for the bisexual hero.
Jon Kent is currently Superman in the DC Comics universe, as the hero replaced his father after he went off to save alien refugees and enslaved people on Warworld. Since Kal-El's been gone, Jon has undergone a journey of self-discovery, which includes coming out as bisexual after getting into an exciting new relationship with Jay Nakamura. Kent will appear in the upcoming DC Pride anthology, where the hero will get a new cape with a special meaning related to his continually evolving identity.
Colorist Triona Tree Farrell shared her contributions to the upcoming DC Pride Anthology from DC Comics, where she contributed to a Jon Kent Superman story alongside Devin Grayson, Nick Robles, and Aditya Bidikar. The preview pages show Superman's boyfriend, Jay Nakamura, giving his partner a gift. Kent opens the present and pulls out a new cape with the Pride Flag (with LGBTTQQIAAP colors) stitched to the inside. Kent looks thrilled to get the new cape from Jay, as he shares a smile after receiving the cape from his new partner.
Everyone I did a short in the #DCPride special which has a Final Order Cutoff for Sunday. I am so jazzed to be working with Devin Grayson, @ArtofNickRobles and @adityab! Please pre-order if you can!
I have also wanted to work on a Superman comic and I'm SO happy it's this one! pic.twitter.com/NAJnqU0BI5

Jon Kent's Superman is a welcome addition to this year's DC Pride anthology from DC Comics, as the hero's coming-out story has been one of the best story arcs from the publisher this year. His relationship with Jay Nakamura has brought a much-needed male, bisexual perspective to one of DC's most recognizable faces, as his romance seems built to last. DC Pride 2022's anthology will also feature all-new stories starring Batwoman, Aquaman, Superman, Nubia, Green Lantern, Jess Chambers' Flash, Poison Ivy, Harley Queen, and the Dreamer.
The Jon Kent-starring story, "Super Pride," will feature the warm moment between the hero and his boyfriend, as the cape represents the perfect modern upgrade for the hero. Even if he never wears the Pride Flag-themed cape in action as Superman, it represents the hero like never before. Although, it would be cool to see Superman wear the colorful cape, as it would make for a landmark moment for representation in the pages of DC Comics. Readers can see Jon Kent's Superman receive the new cape in DC Pride 2022 from DC Comics, which arrives in comic book stores on May 31, 2022.
Thank God for Gold and Silver Age...
Needs a major BARF ALERT!
Interracial faggotry in comic books.
I kind of hope for WWIII now…
DC Comics (and others) are well and truly dead.
Dead.
Ah, the supreme rule of the multiverse proven again...EVERYTHING touched by the left turns to Obamastuff.
This is a fantastic misunderstanding of what made Superman popular in the first place. Of course, they don’t care because it isn’t about making money. It’s about THE MESSAGE!
Social kryptonite.
Sure, we're all homos now....
These people are absolutely sick. Not going to be good for them standing in front of Jesus in judgment someday. They seek not just their own defilement, but they seek to spread their defilement and degeneracy to the young and impressionable.

Queers ruin everything. We were right to shun them.
...indeed...! BTW,”LGBTTQQIAAP colors”......what do those letters all mean....?? I think I know about the “LGBT” but what do those others mean...??

How to kill a golden goose.
This thing is a dud, for all the obvious reasons..
But DC will keep printing it just to show how “inclusive” they are…
This literally is a Superman regular title that isn’t even listed in the top 50 of sales each month…. Would have been cancelled by now if it wasn’t for this insane need for work insanity by idiots in the company.
I have a friend who owns a comic store and has since the mid 90s, and like you suspect, no one is buying this crap…
DC just keeps on being stupid, now with a gay black Aquaman sidekick they are trying to push, and a green lantern from earth for every race, religion, creed abs gender they can come up with…
Hopefully at some point DC will have another crisis event and send all these pointless, uninteresting, empty token characters to the grave
A glory hole addition?
DC’s corporate ownership explains a lot.
So does the top institutional ownership of Warner Bros Discovery.
The same names keep popping up over and over.
Go figure.
Lies, Unjustice and the UnAmerican way.
