I have Chromium for a browser with an extension adblocker ...

It think it’s job is to block protect you from webpage ads, but the extension itself BLOCKS you from disabling ITSELF from updates.
So out-of-the-blue it will update itself and you have no say.
Can I even trust that they are no a security risk ?
