Why Biden’s base is in distress

Democrats are desperately trying to understand what’s roiling the electorate heading into a brutal midterm environment.

HIT Strategies has been conducting weekly focus groups to find out in real time how Americans are processing events in 2022. On Monday night we watched discussions with two different subgroups of partisan Democrats assembled by the firm: “Black Base, Always vote for Dems, Ages 25+” and “Youth Base; Always vote for Dems, Ages 25 – 39.”

There were significant differences within and between the two groups of nine voters. But there were some broad takeaways:

— A preoccupation with inflation and crime. — Exhaustion with pandemic restrictions. — Cynicism about politics. — Deep frustration that President JOE BIDEN and Democrats have failed to deliver on their early promises. — Sympathy for Ukraine mixed with a lack of enthusiasm for Biden spending too much time and money on the issue. — Ambiguity about how important Jan. 6 should be for Democrats in the midterms.

These sentiments are captured in recent polling: Biden’s decline in approval from Black voters and millennials has been well documented, as of course has the rise in importance of inflation, crime and pandemic fatigue.

This is all very puzzling for Democrats. They have the media.

I, too, was puzzled about why EVERTHING Biden touches goes wrong. Bad policy brings bad results, but this kind of failure is something new. I had to look beyond the political world and, instead, look into the spiritual world. I finally hit upon the two reasons I believe Biden has been such a spectacular failure.

1) He confesses to be a Catholic, yet he mocks the faith with his love of abortion and all things LGBTQ. Galatians 6:7 tells us, "Do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows. The one who sows to please his sinful nature, from that nature will reap destruction; the one who sows to please the Spirit, from the Spirit will reap eternal life."

2) This is the one that has really set God's hand against Team Biden. The Left has always embraced immorality and deviant sexual practices, but now, for the first time, they are OPENLY and ACTIVELY laser-focused on bringing that agenda to children. God will protect little ones. In Matthew 18:6 Jesus said, "But if you cause one of these little ones who trusts in me to fall into sin, it would be better for you to have a large millstone tied around your neck and be drowned in the depths of the sea." I believe we are watching the Democrat party sink to the depths of the sea.

I understand my version of why Biden is failing isn't for everyone, but it holds up Biblically (which is all I really care about).

"two groups of nine voters"

Democrat voters at that! They're focusing on their base instead of the independents.

“I understand my version of why Biden is failing isn’t for everyone, but it holds up Biblically (which is all I really care about).”

You’re among friends. While I believe, I’m not sure that God takes such an immediate, active hand, however, I’m not sure He doesn’t!

I hope you’re right, especially with regard to children. I have been aghast with the mischaracterization of the Florida law, and with what “teachers” have been doing. If I had little ones and they were being subjected to that crap... there are no guarantees on what I’d do. I pray that these predators get exactly what they deserve.

It's not. When you are swimming in arrogance,

Exactly. Our ruling class is nothing, if not arrogant.

I have yet to hear one complaint from the largest Democratic constituency—the cemetery vote.

Destroying the country was an “emergency”—they just had to risk spooking the herd.

Democrats use focus groups to fine tune their lies - gussy old lies into new more believable packages... I’m so thankful I’m NOT a democrat.

Hello ‘’brownsfan’’.

While I agree with a lot of what you say I remember what Winston once said "The best argument against democracy is a five minute conversation with the average voter''. I hope and pray people come to their senses but never underestimate the American electorate's habit of just rolling over and going back to sleep.

The only thing that would cause the left base to panic would be that they could no longer get away with cheating in elections.

This is why the Lamestream media is very worried about the Republican primaries this year, but are trying as hard as they can to bury what is going to turn out to be a tidal wave of RINO defeats, especially in state legislatures where the Steal was handed to the Dems via the cheat-by-mail-in ballots.

No more RINOs = No more stolen elections.
