Why?
After calling it a fake Russian disinformation plot or just ignoring it altogether for over a year, the media is suddenly desperate for Americans to know that the Hunter Biden laptop from hell story is totally real.
Why?
The Washington Post covered the story, admitting that documents which were first reported on by The New York Post in October 2020 “illustrate the ways in which his family profited from relationships built over Joe Biden’s decades in public service.”
At the time, the Post’s ‘fact checkers’ dismissed the revelations as disinformation, calling it “laptop stuff.”
The New York Times has also done a complete about face, admitting that the story is real and not disinformation.
Recall that the New York Post was censored on social media and labelled fake news for reporting the exact same thing before the election. Users were also prohibited from sharing the story.
All coverage of the revelations by Infowars and other alternative media sites was declared to be “false conspiracy theory.”
But ABC News now says the laptop from hell is real:

It isn’t a coincidence that every news network has now suddenly completely changed its tune.
It appears that a fresh narrative is being framed.

CBS This Morning did a story on this today - I’m flabbergasted. I suspect the CIA leaked to the NY Times that the investigation has merit and evidence.

They are focused on Hunter and Biden’s brother to show they are doing an investigation. They have exonerated Joe, (there isn’t any evidence President Biden was involved). This is all for show, as everything in this administration.
America has entered the world of "state-run media."
I've lived in Communist countries. One thing any educated person in these places learned to do was to parse the news and read-between-the-lines. Assume state-run media is lying and manipulating a narrative, so one needs to make an inductive guess at what the truth is.
Now we must do this in the USA. So sad.
It’s the old Clinton trick - if the other side (in this case, Putin - complicated by the fact that they aren’t sure how much he knows) has dirt on you, release it first, yourself. Blow it up into something horrific, so that when the actual news comes out it will be anti-climactic and your side can immediately dismiss it as “old news”.
Hillary is an unperson in Democratic politics, she has no power, no influence, and no supporters.
But the Hunter laptop boomlet is indeed a strong signal that it’s time to ring down the curtain on cornpop.
When Kamala nominates her VP, you will see the man behind the curtain.
