Australia's parliamentary system does not allow a brilliant individual to come down a golden escalator, dominate party primaries and then go onon to become the leader of the nation's government.
But what United Australia Party chairman Clive Palmer has managed to do is swing the result of the 2019 election with party preferences and to position his party to.have a chance at winning the balance of power in the Senate in 2022.
He goes to the electorate with libertarian pro business policies in a country whose national economy has been burdened with massive debt by inhumane lockdowns.
He is bringing in a youthful team of attractive new politicians with the ideas and spirit to revitalise Australia.
Do these "libertarians" also support closing borders and limiting foreign work permits?
Trump is great and popular precisely because he doesn't toe the utopian libertarian line. A case can be made that a bit of libertarianism aimed at limiting government might be very welcome, but Trump was able to eliminate useless regulations and bureaucracy without going full libertardian.
What was the vote in favor of gay marriage again?
I love the expression ‘fair dinkum’.
Liberaltarians are 90% Communist and 10% Common sense.
I believe Rand Paul stated that he is a Libertarian. I could be wrong. ..
The trouble with the libertarians is each of them is permitted his own definitions of the movement.
“Our confused cousins”...
Palmer is similar to Trump in that he is a billionaire businessman who has stirred things up. But he isn’t what Trump.is in all ways.
The gay marriage was Turnbull’s. Australia’s Mitt Romney.
