How does a libertarian support an "evil" nationalist who supports tariffs and trade restrictions aimed at supporting local business over less expensive foreign businesses?

Do these "libertarians" also support closing borders and limiting foreign work permits?

Trump is great and popular precisely because he doesn't toe the utopian libertarian line. A case can be made that a bit of libertarianism aimed at limiting government might be very welcome, but Trump was able to eliminate useless regulations and bureaucracy without going full libertardian.

Mao proclaimed "Socialism within One Country", the first Communist heresy. Why can't we simply proclaim Free Trade within one country? 350 million people, two oceans, abundant minerals and full-spectrum climate makes it more than doable.

Palmer is similar to Trump in that he is a billionaire businessman who has stirred things up. But he isn’t what Trump.is in all ways.
