Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy turned down an offer from the United States to evacuate Kyiv, the capital city, the Associated Press reported late Friday.
AP reporter James La Porta said Ukraine’s president decided to stay in Kyiv and fight alongside his fellow countrymen.
“The fight is here’ I need ammunition, not a ride,” the president reportedly told American officials.
Zelenskyy has been spotted around the city wearing body armor and a helmet.
God bless this man has he demonstrates true character and courage in the face of death.

New @AP reporting tonight: Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy was asked to evacuate Kyiv at the behest of the U.S. government but turned down the offer. An American official tells me Zelenskyy said, “The fight is here; I need ammunition, not a ride.”

I was hoping with all of the LGBTQ+ & BIPOC diversity in our intelligence apparatus, that we’d start seeing better propaganda. Apparently not.
Well, binary Peter Strozk is on msnbc spewing BS, but Zelensky just shot a video with his inner staff in downtown Kiev.
His fate is likely sealed as dead or tortured, but I don’t see that 5’5inch Putin at the front.

I seriously doubt anyone in high government here would not run and hide in a similar situation.
Folks on this board have little insight into Russian political affairs. Putin was getting internal pressure to do something about Eastern Ukraine. 13 thousand have died in the last years.
Russian leadership voted to allow forces to move outside Russian borders.
CNN, the CIA News Network would never tell you that.....

That pressure to further invade is because Russia had already invaded and destabilized Eastern Ukraine.

Yeah. Pretty sure the Secret Service has definite ideas about any American President wandering about a war zone n body armor. Bush was tagged a coward when they wouldn’t let him fly to DC on 9-11.
