There already is a no-fly zone imposed over the country of Ukraine. Anytime I fly from Europe to Asia (or opposite) we are routed to the north of Ukraines airspace. I can’t imagine other carriers going through that air space in light of the previous shoot down…

Russia has no right to invade Ukrainian airspace. Denying them access to Ukrainian airspace is a logical step.
If they don’t like it then they can stay in their own airspace.

Since the Israelis seem to blow past Russian S300 air defense fairly easily, if I were Putin I'd be a little worried his air defense isn't as good as it seems.
