This morning police from all over Ontario and Quebec along with the Royal Canadian Mounted Police began their crackdown in the center of Ottawa.
Police, some of them dressed in tactical uniforms, began to warn people and make arrests.
Operations were underway to the east of Parliament Hill..
The story in Ottawa tonight one of a crowd of protesters just east of Parliament where Wellington Street heads towards McKenzie Street and Sussex Drive and then Wellngton becomes Rideau St.
The police pushed protesters westwards from the area of Sussex Drive and now have them pushed back to Wellington and McKenzie closer to Parliament.
The police saying they have made over 100 arrests and towed 21 vehicles...(Ottawa Police Twitter)
Also this evening a crowd is still present directly in front of Parliament and truck engines are also running there.

Peaceful protests are fine, and they can be successful. But if the time comes when it looks like the un-peaceful government is going to wipe the floor with the peaceful protesters, then it's time to sit back and re-assess the chosen tactics.

I mentioned earlier tonight that it's not the truckers that remained that Trudeau needs to be worried about. It's the truckers who no longer believe in peaceful protest that are departing.

A group of Canadian clergy sent an open letter to Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau earlier this week rebuking him for invoking the Emergencies Act to quell the Freedom Convoy and for other actions they described as “tyrannical.”
“We are writing to you as representative pastors of Christian congregations from across the nation and as law-abiding citizens who respect the God-defined role of civil government and uphold the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms, the highest law of our land, which recognizes the supremacy of God over all human legislation,” read the letter, which was signed by 29 clergymen and remains open for other Canadians to sign.
“The Ottawa protest has presented your government with a wonderful opportunity to meet with and speak to ordinary Canadians lawfully and peaceably requiring the restoration of their constitutional rights,” they wrote.
“However, in response to their singing, praying, dancing, candy floss, bouncy castles, speeches about the Constitution and outpourings of patriotic love for the country, your government has not only refused to meet with these citizens to hear their concerns, you have insulted, denigrated and lied about them, further dividing a hurting and broken nation.”

That’s how MLK won. That’s how the protesters at the Edmund Pettis Bridge won. Of course the media showed those events prominently. I doubt anyone watching the three nets and the two Lefty cable nets will ever see that woman be trampled .
