The House of Commons and Senate will not meet to debate Prime Minister Justin Trudeau's invocation of the Emergencies Act on Friday due to expected "police operations" in response to the freedom convoy. The presence of the truckers' freedom convoy in Ottawa was the reason Trudeau engage the Act in the first place.
A letter from Speaker Anthony Rota announced the cancellation. The House of Commons "will not sit today," he wrote. "A police operation is expected in the downtown core of Ottawa. Given these exceptional circumstances, and following discussion with all recognized party leadership, the sitting today is cancelled."

Interestingly the only channels that are reporting in the US are NBC. So they are allowed to report. Everyone else is having a difficult time. I think they have done everything they can to switch off the cellphone reporters. They have surrounded the downtown to stop people from getting there. But those people are still there and need backups. The government is separating the real news and the people from the protesters. Propaganda outlets like CBC in Canada and NBC are able to report. But as of yet no one else.

Just a side thought: Republicans in the US House should put forth a resolution in support of the Canadian People and condemning Trudeau's regime. It would be purely symbolic and Democrats would block a vote. It would be just one more way to put Democrats on the wrong side of the freedom. Of course Republicans are spineless and uncreative. They won't do this and even if they did they would do it with no publicity and without unity.
