She was entering Canada. She did have both Canadian and US citizenship, interestingly. Enjoyed her verbal exchanges with Customs and Public Health.

I wonder how she will do getting back to the U.S., I find the U.S. border folks are less nice.

If even 20% of people did this, all mandates would end the next day.
She seemed to live in Canada, and indicated to the border guard that she had made a day trip to the US.
Good for her, standing up for her rights, and the rights of everyone else politely and with a disarming and pleasant strategy.
She said she has dual US and Canadian citizenship. So at the US border they will have to let her in. You are correct that the US border folks tend to be less polite, and seem to have less training on how to effectively work in a public facing job.

Virtually everyone has privilege. Of some kind.
We are all dealt a hand.
And privilege changes too. She will not for example always be blonde. She will not always be young. And probably not always conventionally pretty.
Everyone plays the hand they are dealt.

Traffic is so heavy on the south border they fly into Canada were getting hit from both sides.
