Have you been discriminated against because you’re a Republican?
Such is a question some Clemson Unversity applicants may have recently asked themselves.
As relayed by Campus Reform, an admissions officer at the South Carolina school Snapchatted her bias toward those who identify with the GOP.
Undergraduate admissions counselor Monica Rozman told social media users that no applicant should put an obvious “R” next to their name.
Per Monica, “No one cares if you’re Republican.”
Maybe they care if you’re a Democrat, and perhaps the “everyone” constituting “no one” is only her.
Either way, she goes on to school the internet on what defines Republicans.
As it turns out, two prominent party components are anti-woman attitudes and white hot white supremacy.
The Party of the Elephant, she states, is “oppressive.”
Additionally, it appears someone’s informed her there are two kinds of Republicans — differentiated by letter case.
Her reported post in full:
“Reviewing college apps and, just wanna say: no one cares if you’re Republican. Like, small government, low taxes, etc., republican. BUT BUT BUT, if you’re gonna talk about being Republican (1) don’t act like it’s an oppressed group bc it’s not and (2) unless you ACTIVELY DENOUNCE the white supremacy and misogyny, etc., within your party, you are going out of your way to identify with an oppressive group. Like? Don’t.”
The administrator’s view is no surprise — increasingly, two Americas are emerging.
From what I can tell, the material separating us is both soundproof and reflective.
Hence, the country’s becoming a set of insulated echo chambers.
If I had to guess, I’d say many left-wingers don’t simply assert that conservative policies are effectively anti-black; I believe a portion of them think white supremacy is among the ideals conservatives blatantly espouse.
There is a giant difference between that of which someone is accused and that which they decisively announce. But some mainstream media organizations don’t look to be so concerned with the distinction.
A bubbled viewer of MSNBC, for instance, may be convinced the Republican Party takes prominent pride in prejudice.
We are increasingly walled by infor-/misinfor-/disinformation, very little of which is coming from objective news sources. CNN and NPR aren’t designed to report the news; they’re set up to represent Democratic interests.
At least, that’s the way it substantially seems.
The messages forwarded by those outlets bear a striking resemblance to those in Monica’s post.
And if Republicans really are racist, why should Monica want them at her school?
It appears reasonable that such a view may determine who’s let in.
After all, she’s so proud to take a stand — and so unconcerned over getting into trouble — that she posted her position for all the world to see.
In response, Clemson Associate Vice President for Strategic Communication Joe Galbraith commented to Campus Reform:
“[Her statements] are not consistent with the admissions policies or practices [of the school].”
And just to be clear:
“Admissions decisions are made by the leadership of the Office of Undergraduate Admissions, and the views expressed on the personal social media channel of this individual — who does not make admissions decisions — are not consistent with the admissions policies or practices of Clemson University.”
Might she control which applications make it to those in charge of the final decision? It seems a question worth being posed.
At the university level, of course, red-state othering is definitely nothing new.

Back to Clemson, junior Armani Gracia expressed surprise to CR:
“I was shocked to see one of our own admissions counselors speaking this type of rhetoric. A party affiliation should not be a problem when applying to a university.”
However, he does suspect the school has “a fair admissions process, as there are thousands of conservative students here on campus.”
Even so:
“[R]hetoric such as this from a [sic] academic counselor is deeply concerning, and I hope she has a sincere apology for her comment.”
An apology may or may not come, but in the end, what does it matter?
As the saying goes, “A man convinced against his will is of the same opinion still.”
I assume such applies to university administrators.
Better would be for her to specify what constitutes white supremacy, and a grand discussion to ensue.
Admittedly, an open conversation about ideas isn’t likely to occur — after all, this is college.
Regardless, at least Clemson isn’t a repeat offender…

Since the legislature and Governor of South Carolina is Republican, take away the funding of her salary
Monica Rozman must think she works in some liberal cess pool state.
I have a young relative who was admitted to Clemson for next year. She already decided not to go due to the lack of scholarship. She’s leaving NY and heading south because of the wokeness there. When she tells people she didn’t even apply to any NY or Ivy league schools because she wants to be in a free state, they get offended.
Not as oppressive as leftists like you who must lie awake at night thinking of ways to discriminate against those who don’t agree with you lock step.
Satan’s children have infested Clemson University.
Evidently nothing is sacred anymore.
They’re everywhere, they’re everywhere!
Next she won’t admit football players who refer to the ball as the Pigskin. Because it is Islamophobia.
Upstanding students at this educational institution should make life a living hell for Ms. Rozman.

We gotta work on this misconception.
A better solution would be to get rid of her.
Get rid of tenure while you’re at it.
Also expand diversity requirements to include diversity of thought. Effectively this would mean no leftists need apply for any faculty or administrative job in universities for quite a while, but that’s what is needed.
When NY state offered “free tuition”, it was actually a form of indentured servitude: You had to remain in the state for one year for each year’s tuition you’d received. The problem is (and this was why young people were originally leaving) there is no opportunity there; you’d spend four+ years working a McJob while your skills in your field atrophied.
Here in neighboring NJ it isn’t much better; there is a mass exodus not just of Americans, but young Americans in particular. If they go away to college, they rarely return.
Lots of folks outside the South don’t realize that Clemson is a public university.
The end game of leftists is death.
They want control; without workers they’d have to grow their own food, make their own coffee, etc..

How does this ignoramus still have her job? She might be able to get away with that nonsense in NY, maybe even thrive on it, But South Carolina? Bet she is really not an admissions counsellor but an intern hired to bring them coffee who thinks she is an admissions counsellor.
President of Clemson needs to hear about this.

Being Republicans is racist? Does she mean like the KKK, or like confederacy, or maybe like “I will have those N@igg$rs voting Democrat for 100 years” or Jim Crow laws, or blocking integration of schools, or claiming to be the first black POTUS, or saying if you don’t vote for me you aren’t black? Maybe because all the fake hate crimes are perpetuated by liberals?
Democrats somehow believe that if you want responsible government, and freedom, that somehow you are evil things they have already proven to be. Wanting a government of the people, by the people, for the people doesn’t make you rascist. Wanting government that self sustains and takes from others their freedom and work, makes you a fascist or communist though.
Being a Republican makes you misogynistic? Do they mean like Ted Kennedy, or bill Clinton, or Joe Biden, or literally the democrats in us congress who pay their female staffers lower than males for years, or the major corporations that have donated to democrats who pay women less.
Democrats somehow believe that republicans are misogynistic while they turn away from the horrific abuses of women within their own party. Why? Because the believe that anyone who doesn’t agree with the current belief in abortion must hate women………. it’s insane rhetoric and patently false.
These individuals who label people, based upon party, without knowing the individuals, are as wrong as those who judge other groups by the actions of a single individual. This process was utilized by the NAZI’s to murder not only Jewish people, but gypsies, and other groups. These types of individuals and policies used to be shunned, now we see an entire political party walking lockstep once again with them.
I believe this Clemson official has allowed her political party rhetoric to blind her ability to see individuals. This is partly her fault, partly the democrats fault for choosing this path, and a good part of the Universities part for accepting this very dangerous behavior. This is a sickness that should be educated against.
