I drove around with a workmate in a Chevy Sonoma last Wednesday for about 20 minutes. We were both masked. He is vaccinated and I am not. He is in his 50’s and obese. He doesn’t smoke and I don’t know if he drinks. I am 60 and smoke about 1/2 pack a day and drink. I am 5’9 and 189.. He tested positive and I went into quarantine last Thursday. I started having the sniffles on Friday. I went for a test on Monday and it came back positive today. Since I was positive, I was sent home from work and took another test to be sure. I suppose I’ll get the results tomorrow. No fever or anything else besides feeling slightly “off”. I still have taste and smell..
I’ve been doing quercetin, D3, zinc, C, melatonin, multi’s, and NAC for over a year. Since my nose started running, I’ve been putting a couple of squirts of 1pct betadine in my nose and gargling with it. I also started the Navage after squirting the betadine in my nose. I think the best thing is to kill it when it’s in your nose. The funniest thing was when I bent over to pull up weeds my nose leaked. Only the left nostril. That’s the only one that leaks. Strange.
Today I’ve had a little congestion which is gone. I started on a Ziverdo course since I had it in case I have the Delta.
I’m not concerned and don’t really have any symptoms since I’m two fingers in because I’m off tomorrow.
I’ll keep up on this in case anything changes.
One day last week I woke up with a significantly sore throat. For me that has always been the first symptom of an oncoming cold, which is rare for me in recent years. No other symptoms, but I felt lousy all day. The next day my throat was better, but I still felt rotten. So I decided to take a tab of “Vitamin I” and in a couple of hours I felt great. No other symptoms since then. Was this the dreaded Omicron everyone is panicking over? I may never know.
Damn. There’s a conspiracy theory that some whites hats put the Omicron out to save the world. It must be true since it’s on the internet. /s
Negatory is spelled with a Y not an i....lol Actually, I don’t know how it is spelled or if it is a real word. I use it all the time though. Big brother taught me that one and a few others, when he got out of Boot in 1967.
That along with BOHICA, Cluster Foxtrot and some that are worse.
Smokers supposedly do better with Covid, so that’s a plus for you. Also you most likely have omicron, the mildest variant of Covid thus far. That should work in your favor too.
Same with me. I am vaxxed also. Somehow I have avoided it despite working in health care. Well, I’ve avoided testing positive. I do take D and Zinc every day and add in C sometimes.
Vitamin I? Please educate me.
“those who take acetominophen around the clock for chronic pain are likely to have depleted glutathione levels”
Bleedin’ acetaminophen is bad for you in so many ways.
If you work in health care, you have other things at the top of your mind than your own welfare!
Caring about others is an excellent way to get your mind out of worry and fear for yourself.
I salute you!
I spent 18 on the Seaside, NJ boardwalk hearing that over and over and over. Picked up a hot hot chickie while it was playing so I won’t complain.
Did they test you with the old PCR tests?
Vitamin I = Ivermectin.
Slight correction...this was 2 weeks ago, not last week.
I have many other things I plan to die from. I’m currently
Dealing with my 90 year old in-laws. I don’t want to go like that.
Thanks for sharing. I appreciate hearing real life stories without hidden agendas to wade through.
Wish you a speedy recovery.
I take 10k D3 a day.
Yes. We have a drive-through down the street. Maybe ten cars in front of me. Less than 30m door to door.
“We just don’t worry about it. My personal opinion is that worry is one of the major influences that runs down the immune system.”
So true. Cortisol inhibits the immune system.
That’s what I do.
“5’9”, 189”. I forgot to mention few grays and very handsome. (Yes, I’m in the other two fingers.)
Thank you.
The Betadine gargle is sold out everywhere — on Amazon, on the manufacturer’s web site, at all of our local CVS and Walgreens stores. I eventually found it at one CVS in downtown Palo Alto and bought three bottles. I’ve been using it at the first sign of a sore throat for almost a year and none of my incipient sore throats have progressed to a full cold.
I also bought “Immunmist” which is a low concentration of povidone iodine nasal spray.
I haven’t had any pulmonary diseases since I got walking pneumonia three years ago (and that was as sick as I’ve ever been).
