Today was not a sterling day when it comes to Joe Biden and his communication with the public. Not that any day is particularly good for him. But first, he blew off federal responsibility on COVID, saying there was “no federal solution” — that the answer was with the states. This was exactly the opposite of what he ran on, saying he had a plan to stop COVID and then not doing so once he took office. Then he was asked why he rejected a plan from health experts in October to have 732 million COVID test kits up and ready to send to Americans for the holidays. Today, Biden claimed that they never rejected the plan despite it being clear that he did.
But Biden’s team decided they wanted to go for the trifecta of bad moves today.
Biden had a virtual meeting with the nation’s governors regarding COVID broadcast from his fake-set White House that they have in the Eisenhower Office Building. It was during this meeting that he claimed there was no “federal solution.”

“If you need something say something,” Biden said to governors. “Seeing how tough it was for some folks to get a test this weekend shows that we have more work to do.”
But at the end of Biden’s remarks in the meeting, Biden indicated that he was going to take questions from the governors and he turned to his White House COVID coordinator, Jeff Zients. “I understand you guys may have some questions. Jeff?” Realizing what a minefield that was likely to be for Biden, it appeared that someone made the decision that was a bad thing to do with the press pool still there, so they decided to boot out the press before Biden took questions. “I think we’re going to clear the press first,” Zients responded to Biden after a long pause.

Then, the press just leaves without complaint, seemingly not at all concerned that they’re missing out on what could be some significant questions. The liberal media has completely abdicated the one job they’re supposed to have — holding power accountable — in the name of the job they in effect serve — being operatives for the Democratic Party. One big question I could see they might ask Biden is: Why were you trying to impose mandates on people and now are saying there is no federal solution? That doesn’t make a lot of sense. Of course, mandates never made sense. I could see one of the governors asking that question. So they can’t have the press hear something like that.
This is part of the whole effort to cut Biden off from being asked any questions that could be troubling, to prevent media from reporting on the inevitable gaffes that would occur. Biden keeps indicating his team doesn’t want him answering questions. Here he is last week saying he was “not supposed to” be answering questions.

Who is telling him what to do? Who is the person who said to throw the press out today? The dissolute “Emperor” has no clothes and his people can’t let the public see that any more than they have to. What a difference from when President Donald Trump took all manner of questions!
But that likely factors into why some of the Biden staff want out and are going to bail in January. It can’t be a happy place to work when you’re always trying to cover up the deficiencies of the guy for whom you work.

The new leader of the free world is...Vladimir Putin???
The New York Times reported, “President Vladimir V. Putin of Russia said on Thursday that he had no plans to impose fines or criminally prosecute people hesitant to be vaccinated against the coronavirus, even though Russia has one of the lowest vaccination levels in Europe.
“About 56% of the country’s population is inoculated against the virus, and the government has not introduced vaccine mandates. Mr. Putin said at his year-end news conference that such mandates would be counterproductive.”
Russia is now freer than America.
Everyone knows the vaccines and the boosters are not the answer.
Zero Hedge reported, “As President Biden once again pushes booster doses on the population with his latest winter plan, the WHO is once again pushing back against this zealousness for vaccines and booster shots by declaring that booster shots shouldn’t be prioritized by the developed governments that control the vaccine supply. Instead, the US and other developed nations should focus on allowing drugmakers like Pfizer and Moderna to distribute more shots in the developing world, because hoarding boosters and focusing primarily on their own populations is a denial of the WHO’s ‘science.’”
WHO chief Dr. Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus said, “blanket booster programs are likely to prolong the pandemic rather than ending it.”
But this is not about medical science.
Political science is at work here. Biden’s mandates exist only to create a handy-dandy scapegoat for his failure called The Unvaccinated!
Omicron is a diluted version of covid that the media and Biden administration hyped. While omicron has spread around the world, there are few reports of deaths. Perhaps omicron will work like cowpox did. Getting cowpox protected people from smallpox.
Omicron may yet save Biden, according to Shane Croucher of Newsweak.
Croucher wrote, “You can see the moment the American public turned against President Joe Biden in the polling data. Around the end of August, just as the U.S. was completing its troop withdrawal from Afghanistan—a chaotic and deadly saga—Biden’s approval rating sank underwater.”
That led to the chants of “$*** Joe Biden” from the student sections at college football games as people woke up to the fact that we have an evil crook as president.
After reviewing the poll numbers, Croucher wrote, “The one positive running through this, however, is the public’s view of his response to the pandemic. The 538 tracker on this issue shows a narrowing over time, but Biden remains net positive; as of December 22, he has 47.9% approval and 45.6% disapproval, coming out at plus 2.3 percentage points.
“Just like Afghanistan, the Omicron variant—an inevitability in which the real political test is how it is prepared for and then handled—may prove a turning point for the view of Biden, who had promised to get control of the federal government’s response to the pandemic.”
Biden certainly hopes so.
Presidents have to slay dragons. Omicron may be a petting zoo dragon (and not even an evil petting zoo dragon at that) but ‘tis a dragon nonetheless.
So the press and the president will ignore the dangerous dragons — inflation, the supply chain mess, and Red China — and trot out the teddy bear dragon. Biden on Tuesday fluffed it into a winter of despair and doom.
However, as Obama said, never underestimate Biden’s power to $**k things up.
Example 1: Vice President Kamala Harris.
Meanwhile, Putin’s approval rate is 63%.
One reason may be his refusal to panic by mandating vaccinations.
Biden’s Dementia Act is getting old....still handy to keep troublesome questions away.
If he really had dementia, he’d act demented when answering questions about his sinking polls.
He’s a mean, calculating little man with 50 years in Congress, running as a former carnival barker. He knows all the dodges.
In sum, Biden’s a practiced con man......a thoroughly corrupt, career pol w/ no fear of we, the people.
He doesn't get asked those questions, and having dementia doesn't mean acting demented, if by demented you mean wild or wacky or crazy.
This will not work .
His support comes from the karens/kevins who vigorously support these mandates
