In June, 1966, Shukairy defiantly declared that the Palestine Liberation Army was receiving military assistance as well as training from the Chinese Communists. In the same month, as a corollary, PLO announced , in programs broadcast over Radio Cairo, that it was preparing to intervene in the Vietnam war.

According to Shukairy, the PLO had decided to send its soldiers "to fight alongside the Viet Cong."
He said that by serving with the Viet Cong, troops of the PLO would gain valuable experience in guerilla warfare "which will be used in the inevitable war to liberate Palestine."
The long and tragic history of appeasers to the PLO is drenched in blood. The West basically told the PLO that you can kill Israelis/Jews anywhere in the world, especially in Israel as long as you don’t do this sort of thing on OUR soil. Balck September did this on German soil in the 1972 Munich Olympic game massacre of defenseless Israeli athleletes.
Arafart continued the same tradition of blackmailing the West even luring them (and Israel’s Left) into the great Trojan Horse debacle called the “Oslo Peace Accords”. Two weeks after signing the so-called “Peace Accords” Arafart visited his murderous and radical friend from the ANC named Nelson Mandela. There in a press conference he called for a Jihad against Israel! President Clinton, Warren Christoper, then Sec. of State, Israel’s PM, Rabin and the real kingpin behind these dastardly agreements (Shimon Peres), along with European leaders were all taken aback. Yassir, they said how can you call for a Jihad when you just signed the Peace Agreement with Israel? He cunningly replied, “You see, you do not understand the nuances of the Arabic language, I meant to say that we are calling for a Jihad...for peace”!
Ah, OK said the Western leaders, whew! We thought for a minute you were reneging on your promises! History will show that his intentions were terror or surrender for the Israelis, nothing less.

Nothing came of it, I suspect. But 1967 saw the Tet Offensive by the Viet Cong, and the Egyptian demagogue and racist President Nasser opportunistically started yet another of his wars.
And he got his ass handed to him, as he listened to the Radio Cairo propaganda broadcasts, and like the ignoramus he was, believed their reports of victory after victory. When the fleeing survivors of the Egyptian armed forces started to swim the Suez Canal, Nasser's sycophants drew straws to see who would have the job of telling him about the comprehensive defeat.
As a consequence of international bow-and-scrape thumb-ass behavior toward Islamofascism, the Suez Canal -- which had already been illegally excluding Israeli shipping -- was closed to all for more than six years.

Egypt did not immediately indicate whether this deployment would affect Israel’s shipping through the Straits of Tiran. But yesterday, a day before UN Secretary General U Thant is scheduled visit to Egypt, President Nasser addressed Egyptian pilots in Sinai (his first public appearance since the initial mobilisation) and announced the blockade of the Straits of Tiran to Israeli and Israel-bound shipping.
He said: “The Gulf of Aqaba constitutes our Egyptian territorial waters … under no circumstances will we allow the Israeli flag to pass through the Aqaba Gulf.”
When U Thant’s plane landed in Paris for refuelling on his way to Egypt yesterday, he was reportedly met with the news.
The vagueness of President Nasser’s statement leaves unanswered questions. For example, will only Egypt block passage of Israeli-flag vessels through the Straits or any vessel carrying strategic goods to Eilat? What does Egypt classify as strategic goods? What if Israeli-flag vessels are accompanied by a warship?
...Israel, on the other hand, argues that the waters fall into a category of expanse, namely, “straits,” and therefore under Article 16 (3) of the Convention of the Territorial Sea and the Contiguous Zone, ‘there shall be no suspension of the innocent passage of foreign ships through straits which are used for international navigation between one part of the high seas and another part of the high seas or the territorial sea of a foreign State” (emphasis added)...
To my count, Israel has three options. First it can do nothing... Second, it can test Nasser’s threat by sending a cargo ship down the Straits... And third, Israel can try to work with the international community to help reduce tension and ensure that the rights of free passage through the Straits are guaranteed and assured.

US media are reporting that US Under Secretary Rostow told France’s Ambassador to the US, Charles Lucet, that all US efforts are trying to stop Israel from initiating a “hasty attack against Egypt”. And France’s Council of Ministers adopted a resolution declaring its support for this path to stopping Israel.

Few foreign leaders supported the cause of Palestinian liberation more than Castro. In
1959, Raúl Castro and Che Guevara visited Gaza to make contact and begin a relationship that continues to this day, and Cuba was the first nation to recognize the Palestine
Liberation Organization (PLO) at its 1964 founding, with Cubans training Palestinian
cadres as part of their commitment to provide more than rhetorical support to liberation
movements (the Cubans lent aid to the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine
(PFLP) and the Democratic Front for the Liberation of Palestine (DFLP), giving “logistical
and professional guidance for Palestinian factions” at the same time as well).6
Cuba, as it
has done with several countries, also offered educational opportunities to Palestinians,
giving them scholarships to travel to the island to study medicine, dentistry, education,
and in other areas.
At the Tricontinental Conference the Palestine cause became a major part of the political agenda of the entire Latin American Left when the delegates called for “solidarity
of all peoples with the Arab people of Palestine in its just struggle for the liberation of
its homeland from imperialism and Zionist aggression.”7
Castro himself linked Cuba’s
own “strife to fight imperialism” with the Palestinian battle for self-determination and
human rights against Israel. After that, Cuban-Palestinian relations become closer and

more important. After the 1967 Six-Day War, Cuba condemned Israel’s “armed aggression
against the Arab peoples,” and Arafat lauded
the alliance of the Arab and Palestinian national liberation movement with Vietnam, the revolutionary situation in Cuba … national liberation movements in Asia, Africa and Latin America [as] the
only path to create a camp that is capable of confronting and triumphing over the imperialist camp.8
In 1974, Castro hosted a high-profile visit to Cuba by PLO Chairman Yasir Arafat who
subsequently established a Palestinian embassy in Cuba. Cuba was also vital in helping
Palestine in international settings. During the 1973 the NAM summit in Algeria (another
nation that Castro supported), Cuba broke off relations with Israel after the Ramadan/
Yom Kippur War and in 1975, co-sponsored and rallied support for the UN resolution
condemning Zionism as Racism. Castro then supported the “Steadfastness Front,” a group
of Arab states that supported Palestine in the aftermath of Camp David, where Egypt made
a separate agreement with Israel that paved the way for aggression by Tel Aviv against
refugee camps in Lebanon and elsewhere.

The chairman of the [corresponding] political committee, Mr. Selim Sarper, reprimanded the representative of Syria, Ahmed Shukeiri, when he remarked in his speech that it would not be long before Israel reaches a situation where the United Nations will recognize the appointment of an international Jewish commissioner for the elimination of Israel’s remnants. Among other things, Shukeiri offered the Jews 60 million shoot if they leave the Land of Israel.”
