Elon Musk, the richest person in the world, says he will sell $6 billion worth of Tesla stock and donate the proceeds to the United Nations’ food agency if it could show how the money would solve world hunger.
His statement came after U.N. World Food Programme Executive Director David Beasley challenged Musk, Amazon founder Jeff Bezos and other billionaires in a CNN interview last week, calling on them to step up on “a one-time basis” to help end starvation.

It is a UN agency, so it exists for skimming.
Well, if blacks didn’t throw out and murder whites in Africa, they wouldn’t be starving.
Rhodesia was “The Breadbasket of Africa”.
The humans, and their government, are the problems in Africa.
The land is rich and fertile. (Just ask the Chinese)
That's racist!
Mr. Musk probably is close to making $6 billion in just the last two weeks... &^)
Interesting how the challenge was met with squishy wording: “it WILL prevent geopolitical instability, mass migration and save 42 million people on the brink of starvation.”
Musk is NOT someone to use squishy wording with in high-stakes negotiations.
BTW: that’s $142 per person.
elon musk, exposing the corruption of the UN... will it fall on deaf ears?
“It's not complicated,” he said
Funny how the Dems and their cousins at the UN follow the same script:
Someone works really hard for decades to acquire a fortune. Then there jokers come round and demand that you hand over your money to them to use as they want..
That’s only part of it though. The real issue is international oligarchs and central bankers who refuse to let Africa develop its own resources and provide for the people. This is precisely why Gaddahfi was murdered, because he wanted to create both a natural-resource backed currency and a U.S. version of Africa.
Much more than that.
But then it’s his money, not the UN’s.
‘food shortages’ are rarely due to a shortage of food, they are generally due to a lack of distribution of the existing food.
It is a UN agency, so it exists for skimming.IOW, a global version of the Democrat Party.
check and mate.....
This is where we disagree. I think they are almost completely incapable. Look at Zimbabwe and South Africa.
South Africa went from possession of nuclear weapons to having sex with virgins to cure AIDS.
you cant just
give food away.
the local thugs need to be
paid off
Giving free food to people unable to feed themselves just creates more hungry people.
If everyone involved were honest I think it could work. Other billionaires could step up too but the bigger it gets graft becomes unavoidable. If higher taxes could solve the worlds problems I’m sure everyone would agree to raise them. It’s as if we could put an end to wars and genocide.
I remember when Ted Turner donated $1 billion to the UN. They made a movie about it: “Gone in 60 Seconds”
