Kapernick is right on this one. Remember Curt Flood? The athletes have no choice where they work or how they get paid. The NFL draft is illegal on the face of it.

This attention whore is not intelligent enough to handle quarterbacking in the NFL so he just spews in public to cover for his stupidity. Typical demon rat mindset.

Reminds of the movie “The Fish That Saved Pittsburgh”, where the player said that he went to Canada to avoid the Draft....the NBA Draft.

They have a choice, but playing football pays better. All these pro leagues are cartels, but Colon could play baseball, basketball in the WNBA, or soccer. Hockey if he can skate, but if none of these appeal he could work for a living. To put it another way, slaves in the antebellum world could not tell “Master” they didn’t want field work but would gladly work in the office or in theater.

flood was a different case...he argued against the reserve clause.

This is not slavery. If you want to play pro ball, you play by the rules that were negotiated by the union with management. That is what is it. This jerk Kapernick cannot even spell union.

Our local franchise here is Jacksonville. They are a horrible team. When a decent player emerges here, they dog it till they get cut or traded. Were it “slavery” that would not happen. I feel sorry for the guys who truly play hard here with the knowledge the team is going no where for at least five years due to the incompetent front offices they had for 20 years.

Kaepernick is running out of cash, that’s all

He’s got only one advantage left, and he’s going to leverage it for all its worth. Otherwise, its working at Chipotle for him

Malden I’m isn’t right about jack s***. And he’s a damn hypocrite. His current employer, Nike, is beholden to China who CURRENTLY uses slaves. He’s contributing to the slave lifestyle. F the guy.

Sure, they have a choice. They know the rules going in. If they don’t like them, get a real job.

The world has gone nuts. This moron acts like he was the GOAT and he wasn't even close. Imagine a mail room employee getting the rest of the company to rally around him because he's upset he's not the CEO.

This so-called “slave” turned down a multi year. $50+ million contract extension from the 49ers. He’s a slave to his own stupidity and arrogance.

It has been a long time since I read The Autobiography of Frederick Douglass but I'll never forget the moving passage, when he is really trying to impress the reader with the horrors of slavery, where he compares slavery to the NFL draft.

Nobody, but nobody pays any attention to Colin Kaepernick except a few slow individuals. Anybody with an IQ above 80 stopped listening to him when he was so stupid as to get bounced by the NFL.

The mere idea that you are being conned by Kaperdink's ghostwriter and publishing house, ginned up through a compliant MSM, is more than a little sad...this is for you:

except they do not have to play for the NFL, and get paid millions of dollars. They have asked for the job knowing the rules and how the selection process works. Purely voluntary. and Kaepernick begged some/any team to sign him up. If he had any, any value a team would have given him a try.

They do not have to sign contracts or participate at all.

If this is slavery please sign me up. I need the money.

2-14 Colon can't seem to understand that slaves typically weren't offered millions...or thousands...or even hundreds of dollars to bounce a ball.
