Sen. Josh Hawley revealed this week that President Joe Biden ordered his administration to fill up American evacuation planes from Afghanistan with as many of the country’s citizens as possible, even if they were not vetted.
“This email was shared w/ me by an American official present in Afghanistan during the evacuation who was shocked by Administration’s failure to vet Afghans before they were evacuated. Email details orders from Joe Biden to fill up the planes – even without vetting,” said the Missouri Republican.
“Total inflow to the U.S. must exceed the number of seats available. Err on the side of excess,” said an Aug. 16 email to American officials involved in the evacuation from Afghanistan. “This guidance provides clear discretion and direction to fill seats and to provide special consideration for women and children when we have seats.”

I'm 74, and have lived in the small city of Rome, New York for the past 25 years. Until Biden's import of unvetted Afghans, I never saw one muslim female wearing a head scarf, nor a hijab in the Walmart, or any other grocery store here. About 4 weeks ago, I noticed a couple going up and down the aisle. She was in full hijab mode. He was dressed in regular clothing. They had three carts loaded to the top with whatever they could get their hands on in the store. Nobody else in the self check-out area had more than one grocery cart, and none were filled to the brim, so I figured they were new arrivals, and were making the most of the money that the government had given them...money that the government had stolen from hard-working tax payers.
Biden doesn’t really want anything, except maybe a good meal and a quiet place to listen to his music collection (same as me). It’s Biden’s handlers who wanted to fly out thousands of unvetted Afghans.
I wonder who those handlers are. If there were any investigative journalists left in this country, we’d know by now.

1. Those who are eager to assimilate, for example immigrants from Poland. Those folks and their children will make good citizens.
2. Those who are not eager to assimilate, but have no desire to bother anyone, or overthrow society. Orthodox Jews fall into this category. Those folks and their children will also make good citizens.
3. Those who are not eager to assimilate, and want to replace our society with Sharia Law. Submit or die, infidels. Those folks and their children will make good terrorists.

My father, his two brothers, and their parents came here from Holland in 1912. My Dad was 8 years old at the time. The family was separated upon arrival at Ellis Island, and remained separated for days/weeks until they were finally cleared by officials to be released. One of the requirements for them to be accepted, was that they had a sponsor who was already living in this country that would be responsible for them. My father and his family assimilated into American society, and culture, as was the norm in those days. My father's youngest brother enlisted in the U.S. Army in WWII, and served overseas. My father had a physical disability known as Osteomyelitis. Back then there was no known treatment for it. He contracted it as a boy. One of his legs was shorter than the other because of it, and because of the chronic infection, he had an open wound which my mother cleaned and dressed every day. Despite that, my Dad worked every day of his life on the New York Central Railroad, first as a laborer, and eventually a Track Foreman.
My mother came to this country from Canada, as a little girl with her slightly older brother, and their divorced mother. My grandmother worked as a housekeeper for a Catholic rectory, and later for a large hotel in Rochester, New York. She also had her own home, and rented out rooms. My parents met because my father and one of his brothers rented one of those rooms. My mother's brother also served in the U.S. Army in WWII. He was actually naturalized while he was briefly stationed at Fort Sam Houston in Texas, on his way to California, to go overseas. I never knew any of my grandparents, as they had all passed by the time I was born in 1947. I still have the letter my grandmother wrote my mother in 1946, the night before she was to be operated on for her gall bladder. She died on the operating table that next day. She'd gone back to Canada to be treated, and my mother never saw her again.
Thanks for sharing. Your folks came over legally, and they were patriots. That’s not always true today.
Since you mentioned Ellis Island, have you checked the Ellis Island records for your folks? My grandparents came over from Hungary, and by golly I found them on the Ellis Island records.
