Dr. Anthony Fauci, already facing calls for his ouster for allegedly lying to Congress about his agency’s funding of controversial genetic research at China’s Wuhan lab, is now facing political heat on a different front.
On Friday, a bipartisan group of lawmakers sent a letter to the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NAID) and President Joe Biden requesting information regarding allegations that the government funded experiments that injected puppies with parasites.
"We write with grave concerns about reports of costly, cruel, and unnecessary tax-payer funded experiments on dogs commissioned by the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases," said Republican Rep. Nancy Mace of South Carolina, one of 24 lawmakers to sign the letter.
By Sunday, People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) had joined the group of lawmakers demanding action at the National Institutes of Health (NIH).
“Yes, I think everybody who heads an NIH agency right now should resign,” said PETA senior vice president Kathy Guillermo, when asked if Fauci should resign during an interview with Newsmax.

I’m pleasantly surprised that PETA is getting involved here. And that’s because left-wing crazies usually try to protect other left-wing crazies.

However, they did not reveal the fate of the dogs at the end of the three-month experiment. A spokesman for the University of Georgia revealed to Newsweek that the beagles were euthanized “because this disease currently has no cure.”
I detest animal cruelty just as much as most normal people do. However, to ignore the cruelty Fauci has inflicted on humans without speaking out, and then speaking out when you find he has been cruel to animals during research, tells me you are not exactly as “humane” as you pretend to be.
The problem is,when the left lets one of their own be sacrificed, they replace them with someone even worse.

Now, when there is a legitimate animal abuser conducting grotesque torturous "experiments," their message will get lost among their fur coat, fake blood splashing, anti-veal protests.
I do hope Fauci gets the public shaming, and any warranted civil and criminal penalties he deserves, but if they do materialize, PETA will have had little to do with it.

Reading through Fauci’s experiments and the one I find most alarming is the use of an acid to destroy a region of monkeys’ brains to magnify terror. They then simulated images of spiders and tormented them with fear. Human DNA is 97% identical to apes. Why fund that research?
