I’m no fan of Alec Baldwin, but did he really decide who was in charge of the firearms?
walking off a set is a big deal. because it can get you black listed from production companies. from the day the production starts the clock starts on the major costs of a film and any time lost because crew members decide to walk can kill a small project that is not a part of a major studio because they don’t have the money to finish it properly. the fact that the crew members waled off is a red flag to there being a real serious problem before the shooting.
I can’t really blame him, because it was supposed to be a prop gun. He had to rely on the weapons master to ensure the gun was safe.>>> You handle any thing that looks like a fire arm you are responsible for the outcome. Commies in CA don’t know a gun from a hammer. i wouldn’t trust them with either.
Agreed. An actor cannot check the wespons before every scene the flow would just not be there>>> sure anytime i pick up a gun i assume it is safe cause someone told me it was.
>> I say that having worked in a steel mill for a number of years
Different experiences, but I very much understand what you’re saying.
Hopefully, we’ll get the unvarnished details about the entirety of the production.
The Rust production was obviously a careless one.
There shouldn’t have been any live ammo to begin with
Sorry,
Once that weapon hit Baldwin’s hands he is responsible for it.
He should have paused, demanded that weapon be proven to be used on set by it being shown as empty or discovered it had live rounds.
Baldwin will pay dearly, even if the husband of woman he murdered does
not sue, investors in this movie will. This movie is kaput.
This all true, but if the safety standard for “actors/actresses” is you never actually point the gun at a person, but always point slightly off angle, as I’ve read from set experts, he violated that rule.
And that would be one Hell of a disastrous coincidence.
The question still remains....what kind of a gun....who put the live shell in...Was it really an accident??
I am thinking the young cinematographer, Halyna Hutchins, may have filmed Baldwin in bed with her for blackmail intent. I think he slipped a live round in the prop gun and shot her to shut her up.
No...her father was an armorer.
There are rules...everybody checks it....it is checked and agreed on...
Yup.
And by the way, the movie is about an accidental shooting aka murder.

The rules say he MUST check it.
You mean the movie about an accidental murder “by gun” is kaput? And he wrote the movie. Unbelievable coincidence.
Actor Robert Davi posted a tweet where he explained the actor is to check the firearm again, after it is handed to them by the armorer.
