If it was a cartridge conversion. That shows cap and ball, though it is an 1851 Navy Colt, the only weapon I’ve seen mentioned as the “murder weapon.”

Please watch YouTube video of John Schneider filmed on or around October 22nd. He discusses firearm safety and protocol required on set. Clearly if established safety measures were followed, Alec Baldwin would NOT have had this tragedy on set.
Yes this appears accidental. Yes its a tragedy. Yes Alec Baldwin has to live with it for the rest of his life. It doesnt alter the fact that for whatever reason, safety regulations established by the industry were ignored. Mr Baldwin needs to do the right thing by the law and by the families affected by the tragedy.
Well no wonder the funding was light. ;D.
And by the way, the movie is about an accidental shooting aka murder.

Ive suspected narcissism on Baldwins part but have not posted since all we have is speculation. However, if it becomes obvious through his statements that all are to blame but him, obvious attempts to make himself a victim too, then yeah big narcissistic trait. And its said too in what ive read that a lot of actors suffer from this personality disorder.
Baldwin pulled the trigger. He is responsible.
A pilot does not just take the word of maintenance people, they do their own pre-flight checks and visually inspect the aircraft before departing because they are responsible for that aircraft.
If someone hands you a firearm, I do not care if it is Jesus Christ himself, I am checking it before aiming toward people and pulling the trigger.
That is basic gun safety.
If someone hands you a package to take on a plane, do you have any responsibility to check it out? Of course.
Baldwin was the last line in the chain of custody. He had a responsibility to check the firearm in his possession. No excuse is possible.

According to what I read....,Her father has a reputation in the movie business being excellent at his job as an ‘armorer’ and taught her the skill....
...although she is young and newish Baldwin no doubt hired her because she would be a less expensive hire.

I have read that the movie Caddyshack was pretty much that. Although the worst that happened was some torn up golf greens and a few golf carts ending up in a pond during a night of racing.
Having worked in both the film and the music industry in LA I found out VERY quickly about narcissistic personality disorder on a daily basis. And often it isn't just one around. It's pretty usual to have two, three, or more around and that is a daily thing.
There is a whole way of treating these people especially as the really malignant ones can really destroy the people around them.
Any major circle of success is also swarming with them. I can't even imagine what it's like in DC. To think these are many of the people who are ultimately controlling our laws, our media, and our arts. No wonder we are filled with complete disgust.
And you are so spot on about the victimization of these people. It will be interesting to see how the Baldwin situation pans our in regards to what you wrote.
