This old contruction guy tells us what happend at his work when the safety man told employees to get the jab or your fired. They all got upset and headed to the gate. However, before they got to the gate the safety man came back and said never mind you do not have to get it. (language warning)

Our republic is dead.
I’d say that’s worth some profanity.
And, FWIW, I’m far more worried about Deep State than potty mouths.
Note to that elderly gentleman: Sir, God bless you and the people who stood with you! And if your wife has a cuss jar, I’d happily contribute to what you just rang up.
.
I was a safety manager in a shipyard for 20 years. I would have been “that yellow bellied SOB” that he’s talking about. Thank God I got pissed off and retired 2 years ago and I don’t have to deal with this crap at all.
The “safety man” needs to get a fistful of “safety” for trying to poison these good men.

That’s almost a requirement in the construction trades. Quick story: A relative of mine belonged to a trade union, and he liked to attend union meetings. After one meeting I asked him how it went.
Me: How was the meeting?
My relative: Okay, but I was bothered by the bad language.
Me: Yeah, I once worked in a steel mill. Some of those guys can be pretty foul-mouthed.
My relative: I was talking about the women.
Draw the line now or give up your right to control what goes into your own body to your employer forever.
Someone a lot younger, with children and a mortgage, this may not make that sacrifice.

Just make sure he has plenty (as in million$) of life insurance.
I started up power plants in the early and mid 70s. I was on-site with the construction crews toward the end of erection. I also worked the annual maintenance shutdowns with lots of construction guys. I don’t remember the foul mouth situation then.
I suspect that, like every part of American life, things have turned significantly more vulgar.
Of course, in my fraternity, we always joked about the freshman going home for his first college Christmas break and, at the Christmas dinner table, asking “Mom, could you pass the EFFING mashed potatoes?”

I guess it depends on the situation. I worked in a steel mill in the late 1970s and early 1980s. On the shop floor it was all business, although some guy might occasionally describe a broken piece of equipment using colorful adjectives.
But in the locker room it was a different story. F-bombs were exploding everywhere.

That’s why the “Eff Joe Biden” chants are spreading like wildfire.

If enough young folks don’t comply, then the companies can’t run without them.
I get it, but it’s easier for those who can make the sacrifice. Many don’t feel they can. People aren’t conditioned to do that these days. They want instantaneous gratification, and that usually involves spending more than they have (loans, credit card debts, etc.).

What deadline do they have, to get the shots?
I worked in construction in the mid 70’s. A lot of my bosses and men I worked with had been WW2 vets. Honest , hard working, take no bs men.
They’re not a dying breed, not just yet. Good on this guy.

Me, too. Real people. Didn’t give a damn about much, and as we saw political correctness start creeping in ... they had a lot to say about it. I love those people.
