An airline pilot and activist for individual liberty told Fox News situations such as mass flight cancelations will become more common if the Biden administration refuses to backdown from its hardline stance against coercing Americans to get vaccinated against COVID.
“I’m not going to take a mandate. I’m not going to be forced to do something that I don’t believe in,” he added.
“If you have flights reduced by 30 percent because 30 percent of pilots are fired because they won’t take the vaccine, this is going to affect how your goods get here from overseas, how they are distributed to the store,” he said.
“The same thing is happening with the truckers; it’s happening in the shipping industry. Those Amazon boxes that typically show up in two days, you might be looking at three weeks,” he continued.
While the supply chain has for months been showing signs of bending, this past weekend Southwest canceled thousands of flights, reportedly because of a “sick-out” from pilots and other employees over the company’s vaccine mandate.
No other airline was affected by any staffing shortage or widespread weather issues.
Yoder, when speaking of staffing shortages and logistics, asserted that more shortages of employees, such as the one which that hit Southwest, could come. He blamed Biden for the issues and challenged any notion that the federal government is in control of what American citizens and workers choose with regard to vaccines.
“It’s squarely his [Biden’s] fault,” he said.
“First of all, we have all the control, and the control comes from a simple word, and that’s ‘no,’” he said. “We just don’t need to comply. As far as I’m concerned, I will never promote a sick-out or a work action that is illegal."

I think the widespread, visceral knowledge that Xiden stole the election has triggered what amounts to a general strike. Xiden could have kept his foul mouth shut about the vaccine, and tens of millions more people would have voluntarily taken it by now. President Trump did. So did every GOP governor. Xiden wants conflict instead because he thinks that yields “change,” just like the Marxist dialectic says...

If the Fed’s want to play hard ball they can. In the pilot’s case each and every one of them must have a valid FAA issued licence. The Fed’s could just as easily say no vax ok your pilot’s licence is revoked until you do get vaxed. Ending the careers of those pilot’s. Then the FAA could lower the flight hours needed to hold a captain’s cert from 1500 to 250 or less like a lot of countries do already opening up the pool to the pilots who are vaxed and would like the promotion in pay and status. Airlines also hold Fed FAA licences as well for a while slew of things. The Fed’s could also revoke those for any airline not in compliance and put an airline out of business. Lawsuits will take month’s to get to district courts and month’s more to get to the USSC if they even grant standing. The Fed’s have unlimited funds and time something individuals and businesses don’t have. Shutting down an airline for even a month would drive them to chapter 11. How long could a pilot not get paid with no valid FAA figthe cert before they lose their homes and also file bankruptcy. The Fed’s could also nationalize the ATC and airline’s which would put them as federal employees subject to the existing EO. The Fed’s could get nasty if they want with little anyone can do about it short of taking up arms.

All good points, and viable enforcement actions. An alternative, and easier path for the Feds to follow would be thru the medical certificate. To be an airline captain, several requirements must be met. One is experience, 1500 flight hours min, an Airline Transport Rating, issued by the FAA, and a First Class medical certificate. The First Class cert is issued/re-issued every six months, after an AME conducts a physical exam of the pilot. There are minimum requirements to pass the physical, EKG, vision, etc...The FAA could very easily require that in order to be issued a First Class cert, the applicant/pilot must produce a vaxx cert at the time the physical is administered, or no cert will be issued. No First Class med, no left seat..period.
I hope the Feds cave, but as you stated and I agree, to say the pilots hold all the cards, is disingenuous at best.
