FBI Crime Data Says Armed Citizens Shot More Criminals in 2020

U.S.A. –-(AmmoLand.com)- One stunning revelation in the FBI Uniform Crime Report for 2020 is that armed private citizens fatally shot more criminals during the commission of felonies than police, a fact that seems to be avoided by the establishment media.

According to the FBI’s expanded homicide data for 2020, law enforcement used firearms 298 times in fatal line-of-duty shootings, while private citizens killed 343 suspected felons “during the commission of a felony.”

The data, which updates figures posted for 2019 last year, shows that in 2019, police and private citizens killed the same number of felons (334) during the commission of crimes.

Alan Gottlieb, chairman of the Citizens Committee for the Right to Keep and Bear Arms, was not surprised by the new data.

Of course the media is loathe to report armed citizens taking out the scum, firearms are BAD.

Personally, I think those numbers are horrible and should make every decent American blush with shame.

Gun owners only killed 343 violent felons??? Come on people, we can do a lot better than that.

Range time, better loads, maybe a slightly more powerful gun. We need to step up and do the job the police won’t and can’t.

What I get out of this is that the police are scared to do what’s necessary, lest their careers and lives are ruined. I bet they (to be fair, some) are quite pleased when Joe Public takes out the trash.

The stats only include deaths. I wonder what the stats are for police and public shootings of perps who didn’t die.

Those 2 words in the title, “than POLICE”, make a yuge difference in the meaning.

And an untold of crimes stopped due to the brandishing of a gun. Most will not report lest they be charged with a crime.
