So a few days ago we all got notice from our beloved (not) president that we all must be vaccinated.
How many are having this trouble?
Just want to discuss because I want more outlet and sources.
This is a local college. I just tutor - and haven't even been allowed back by our department and still only use virtual.
I immediately wrote a response to this woman's e-mail, saying I will not do it for this disease and I will fight it. I also stated how I had the disease before vaccines.
She stated all will be required, but employees first - by Dec 1! This irritates me extra because THE SEMESTER WON'T HAVE ENDED YET!
Likewise students are required by sometime in Feb - after they've started a semester!
How does that even make any logistical sense?
I'm figuring I really better look into personal tutoring on my own now. I do not want this "untested" stuff. And I'm sick of the whole premise that all is fair against COVID.
I’d think it would be worth trying for a religious or medical exemption if appropriate. And if denied utilize an attorney.
I am going to be facing this at some point.
need to find someone with legal competence in your state with an interest in this topic to opine. you may have options. I would be very careful with any further correspondence with your employer in the meantime - you may have closed some possible avenues with your initial answers.
Tell them they are violating the Americans with Disabilities Act and you will hold them responsible
It is ridiculous. Make them fire you.
Tell them that because of the new demand for the vax because of the new mandates, it is now hard to schedule one. You have it set for Dec 1st.
Then don’t get it. If that is your choice.

Is there a way to apply for an exemption - personal, religious or medical? If so, the school should post an online form which can be filled out, printed and notarized. If that is the case, please let me know, and I will private reply with what advice I can offer.
In addition to the excellent points raised by other FReepers, I’d add that
1. They are invading your medical privacy.
Perhaps demand to know their HIV status, whether they are taking ED drugs, birth control, have any STDs, hepatitis, etc. I’d ask for the complete medical records of the boss, because after all, she might have something you could catch.
2. The vax is EXPERIMENTAL. It is against the Nuremberg Code to force or coerce or deceive someone into taking an experimental drug.
I am hoping this is only the foreshadowing of the Mark, but the way things are going, it seems you might be right - the time might be at hand.

Do you have sincerely help Christian beliefs? If so, you can get a religious exemption. But you’ve got to be honest about it.
Our kid's boss, which had COVID in the past (as tested), had a serious reaction to the vaccine. In her early 30s with two kids, she's dealing with some neurological issues that leaves her with body shakes and headaches, among other symptoms. Happened right after taking the vaccine.
The interesting part is our kid has been filling in for this boss for in-person meetings, including one recent presentation to higher management in the company.

Anyone trying to dictate my health care will have a problem: how to replace me.
The only employers pulling this crap right now are only doing it because they place no value on their employees. In other words, they run crappy places to work. I will not work in such places.

Go for a medical exemption. If you have a sympathetic doctor, explain your concerns and that you’re worried about adverse reactions. Since you’ve had Covid already, you have antibodies and that is the supposed point of the vaccine to produce an immune response.
Why take a vaccine to get an immune response you already have. Now, they can’t argue the vaccine is better in that it has already been shown to fail in providing a durable immune response. Your natural immune response is far more protective, so what is the point of exposing yourself to possible adverse reactions from the shot.
I’m not a Tudor. I’m a mid level manager in an organization. I will not be forced to make a health decision. The never mandated aids testing, tuberculosis testing, hepatitis testing but an experimental vaccine, well they go all in. Screw them. I have honest and legal reasons why not to follow this BS. I expect it will either lead to one of two outcomes. Either fired or apparent and undeniable knowledge the vaccine is dangerous. One will come before the other.
95% of phase 3 trials never make it past that phase. This one didn’t even really do most of the research to get to phase 3.
Something is very wrong. Very sinister.
