The only thing the Republican Party is interested in is talking points and soundbites. Talk tough and convince the voters that they’re serious, only to win majorities then have every excuse in the book for why they can’t. This is why I don’t support Republicans any more.
Treason is common among liberals. Jane Fonda, John Kerry, and many others have operated outside diplomatic channels with hostile nations without government approval.
The fact that Trump is trashing Milley will be a signal to the GOP that they should say nothing.
I suspect that Milley reached out to his Russian counterpart (Shogyu) and told them we wouldn’t launch/attack if ordered by Trump as well as telling China.
Or until the nukes were hitting (ground truth).
What Milley did was worse!
We need to relearn what treason actually is.. these on the left are getting by with treasonous acts and nothing is done.
The difference was that MacArthur was right.
MacArthur NEVER secretly went behind Truman’s back to meet or call Chiang Kai-shek in opposition to the nations policies. Truman’s differences with MacArthur were quite public and MacArthur has been proven correct. Truman, not so much.

The GOP’s non-response to the 2020 steal was the final straw that forced me, after almost 50 years in the GOP, to register as an Independent.
As Newsome’s “victory” yesterday shows (wink wink), the salvation of our once great republic is beyond the reach of elections.
First and foremost, Republicans are mainly interested in getting reelected so they can continue to suck from the government teat.

this general should be shot for treason - I am serious - the military is run by the civilian government, not the other way around.
It seems I recall that MacArthur wanted to take the fight into China.. He may have said something to the effect that he already had the equipment and manpower on the ground so why not finish the job.. Truman disagreed.. (?)
This is not really trashing. He basically said it was “hard to believe”, but “if true”, its treason. Wow, how controversial.
