Move over hydroxychloroquine and ivermectin, two widely extolled prescription medicines used to treat COVID-19 viral infections. A natural cure for COVID-19 that is widely available and affordable for even the poorest of people on the planet has been confirmed by a team of virologists who have spent a lifetime studying the underlying causes of viral infections.

Backed by decades of research and safety data for herpes-family viruses, U.S.-based researchers at Bio-Virus Research Inc, Reno, Nevada, report on the successful treatment of the first 30 frontline doctors and nurses and a thousand-plus patients given the amino acid lysine to prevent and even abolish COVID-19 coronavirus infections at a clinic in the Dominican Republic. Lysine has been safely used for decades to quell herpes virus outbreaks that cause cold sores on the lips (herpes labialis), a treatment pioneered by one of the Bio-Virus Research team members in 1974.

Lysine is available in foods and in concentrated form in inexpensive dietary supplements (250 500-milligram lysine tablets can be purchased for under $5 US or 2-cents per tablet), making affordable lysine therapy possible.

Mrs. CC and I have been taking Lysine supplements for years as we are both prone to oral herpes and it pretty much keeps it at bay. If an outbreak feels like it is coming on for whatever reason, we triple dose the Lysine and use Abreva which I think contains Lysine in the cream for for topical use.

This makes sense to me as oral herpes is a virus and it supresses it.

I used to take lysine daily to prevent fever blisters, however, I quit taking it when my doc prescribed the anti-viral drug that I can take as soon as I think I’m getting one. It knocks it out pretty quickly. However, I have gotten 2 this summer so may as well get back on the Lysine. How much do you take?

500 mg per day. We used to take 1000 mg but scaled it back. My wife has the same anti-viral from her doc that she will take if it is really bad. When I start feeling it coming on, I start pounding about 3000 - 6000 per day for a couple days along with the Abreva. Works well. I also tried some stuff called Zilactin-B. YIKES! That stuff burns everything in it’s path. It is a topical and wow, it burns but.... it works also.

Really? Our cats LOVE it...one even eats it right out of the container...perhaps the chicken liver flavoring has something to do with it. :-)
