Lysine is effective because it acts against Influenza A, which is what SARS-2 C-19 really is. There is no documented Corona Virus 19 as yet.

I have taken lysine when I had shingles, and gave it to my child who had chicken pox.

My experience after a recurrence with shingles was I needed to keep taking it a few weeks, and not stop as soon as my symptoms subsided.
IIRC, I took 1200 mg a day.

Per the Emergency Use Authorization law 21 U.S. Code § 360bbb–3 - Authorization for medical products for use in emergencies:

The EUA can no longer exist if there is a treatment for the virus that the vaccine addresses:

Section C (Criteria for issuance of authorization) (3)that there is no adequate, approved, and available alternative to the product for diagnosing, preventing, or treating such disease or condition;

This is why you will see ALL treatments treated as conspiracy theories (i.e. ivermectin) for as long as they possibly can hold out.
