It looks like the Grand Canyon! Bean field collapses and falls 25 feet overnight in rural Minnesota, baffling farmers and experts

Consequence of the extreme drought in Near Climax, Minnesota, a small crack in the ground has grown, causing a quarter-mile long stretch of bean field to fall 25 feet. Few have ever seen anything like it.

It is still hard for Wayne Erickson to make sense of what happened on his farm. Simply put, a section of his black bean field fell two stories.

“When I drove out here, it looked like the Grand Canyon. We didn’t have all that slumping going on, it was just straight down. Straight up and down,” Erickson said.

Wayne and Erllene Erickson are the fourth generation on the family farm, and they’ve never seen anything like this. Nobody is sure what caused the huge slide.

“It’s kind of scary. It is sad, sad to see it,” said Erllene Erickson as she surveyed the fallen field. “Mother Nature does what she wants.”

Trumps fault or global warming?

It's Minnesota, the one & only State that went for Mondale in 1984 - so probably both...

Sinkhole!!!!

Looks to me like it has nothing to do with a sinkhole. The soil is slumping. It isn't dropping into a hole.

Should the Lord tarry we are about to witness many unexplainable scientific wonders. Though “scientists” will attribute this to the development of the evil internal combustion engine.

On the bright side of things, nothing a 3.8 trillion dollar slush fund won’t cure. Even as they continue to deny God’s existence.

They’re going to have to reinvent the economy with a new currency.
Like a digital placer to make everybody submit. I’ve read about it before somewhere.

We’re living in surreal times indeed.

Nancy Pelosi can transfer the funds to her right hand or forehead. But I doubt the cash infusion will help her when she reaches her destination.

Oh good grief, it's Man-Made Climate ChangeTM of course, if we just pay higher taxes these natural phenomenon will cease immediately!

We experienced something somewhat similar, but different. Here is an email I sent to my siblings:

We used to have a similar problem of lesser magnitude in our alfalfa fields in Nebraska. I never did drive into one but Dad with the 44 and broke off the front wheels. We went to the tractor graveyard just west of Fairbury and took a replacement off of a scrapped 44 there. Our sink holes were 2-3 foot X times Y and maybe 2 foot or so deep. They were often difficult to see if there was vegetation around them. Martin found a blog by some young farmers in Iowa (think its called Millennial Farmers of similar) who ran their Massey Fergeson wide front into a similar sink hole and broke them off.
