A man who was shot while trying to break up a fight Friday night near Southeast Portland’s Lents Park has died in the hospital, police said.
Numerous police units responded to SE 92nd Avenue and SE Holgate Boulevard around 9:45 p.m. Friday night where they found a man who had been shot.
He was taken to a hospital with life-threatening injuries, and police announced the victim died on Saturday.
Police said the shooter left the area before officers arrived. No arrests have been made at this time.
An investigation is underway. SE 92nd Avenue was closed between SE Holgate Boulevard and SE Cora Street.
A video was sent to us this morning of the brutal murder where the good samaritan who was trying to break up the fight got shot in the head from point-blank!

One man, who said his name was Angel and that he was volunteering at Lents Park earlier in the evening, told KATU News that someone was shot.
“I came over to get some drinks to take back to my wife and I walked into a shooting. That’s what happened tonight,” he said.
The victim in the fatal shooting that occurred in the parking lot of a convenience store in the 4500 block of Southeast 92nd Avenue on August 20th has been identified as Jonathon “Johnny” Polanco, 30. His family has been notified of his death and provided the attached photos for media release.

I broke up a domestic fight once. Husband was beating his wife.
She was a giant whale of a woman. Easily 300lbs fat. He wasn’t better.
I’m walking off with him, holding his arm a bit firmly. (I had clocked him pretty hard after squatting off.)
The wife came up from behind me and hit me with a rock in the head. Woke up in the hospital, land whales long gone.
Never again. It’s someone else’s problem.

It was a peaceful fight.
OR used to be conservative but due to massive election fraud for more than 20 years it is now a hell hole. They have have changed the gun laws, though. It’s a good state for 2nd Amendment rights. Open carry is legal for anyone, concealed carry is “shall issue”.
