With Afghanistan on fire, the airport in chaos, and uncertainty on how all US personnel will make it out alive, the recriminations for what is still transpiring are in full swing. You’ll be less than shocked to learn that some are blaming Donald Trump, who hasn’t been president for the last seven months.
On the other hand, those living within the confines of our current reality are pointing the finger where it belongs, toward the current President of the United States. While Joe Biden had previously taken credit for his supposedly fabulous withdrawal plan, he’s now desperately trying to pass the buck, be it to Republicans or perhaps his own vice president.
Yet, things look to be even worse than they first appeared. Reports are coming out that the reason the Afghan Air Force couldn’t operate is that the Biden Administration banned foreign maintenance contractors (i.e. the only people with the expertise) from entering Afghanistan.

Helicopters and fixed-wing aircraft do not just run into perpetuity. That’s especially true when dealing with military variants, which can often require many hours of maintenance for every actual flight hour flown. By banning foreign contractors from helping the Afghan Air Force maintain its fleet, Biden effectively grounded it and took them out of the fight.
And while they weren’t flying the latest and greatest types, A-29 CAS aircraft and Mi-24 Hinds (along with the other light-attack helicopters the Afghan Air Force had) would have been very useful in trying to hold off the Taliban as they advanced toward Kabul, even if temporarily.
This revelation follows a disturbing pattern that has arisen within Biden’s withdrawal strategy. It appears that no care whatsoever was given to ensuring the Afghanis could — or were even allowed to — maintain the logistics needed to operate after US forces left. A military can have all the men they want, but without proper logistics and leadership, including the ongoing maintenance of equipment, things will always collapse. That’s what appears to have happened here.
The question is why? Why would the Biden administration want to bar foreign contractors from maintaining the Afghan Air Force, thereby keeping them mission ready? None of this makes sense, and there needs to be a major investigation into what went into these terrible decisions. Will there be, though? Who the heck knows.
Regardless, I don’t expect this to be the last, revealed embarrassment for the Biden administration.
When Obama was POTUS, it seemed to me that when there was a choice between a current regime and an insurgent regime, whichever was more radical was pushed in someway to either gain power, or stay in power (either by helping the radicals, or not helping the less radical).
Maybe if they didn’t run away and fought instead, things would be different.

There’s been too many catastrophe’s for this not to be on purpose. The surge at the border. Afghanistan and leaving Americans vulnerable to being killed any moment, our oil /pipeline just to name a few. These are deliberate acts. Not blunders.
I’m not looking for jokes or the obvious - but what is he trying to accomplish? Is he or his people taking orders from China? I’m serious. It’s too outrageous to make any other sense of this.

REALITY CHECK-——NY Post Miranda Devine asked President Trump Sunday about the plan his administration had to get out of Afghanistan —which ultimately was obstructed by the same US generals who gave Biden a green light.
“We were going to not let people get slaughtered,” Trump said flatly. “I wanted to get out. But you have to get out safely and you have to get out with respect . . .
“We had all sorts of conditions . . . All civilians were going to come out before the military. Everyone should have been out before they took our military out . . .
“I was going to close this ridiculous embassy they spent a billion dollars on and move everybody out . . .
“I was going to blow up every military base [before we left]. I was going to take out every single piece of equipment. I said I don’t want anything left [apart from] leave each soldier a gun . . .
“Plus, I had a relationship with the Taliban where they knew they weren’t allowed to do this. They understood they were going to get hit very hard . . . What I had was conversations with the [Taliban] leadership where I said if you do anything we were going to hit them like they haven’t been hit before.”
Trump’s Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, who began negotiating with the Taliban in February 2020 to lay down conditions for a US withdrawal, has corroborated Trump’s version of events.
Pompeo was in the room when Trump warned the Taliban’s senior negotiator, Mullah Baradar, that if a single American was hurt or threatened the entire wrath of American power would rain down on them.
“We never trusted the Taliban,” he told Fox News Sunday. “We made abundantly clear . . . we weren’t going to allow them to just walk away from any deal that they had struck. We were going to go crush them, we were going to impose real costs on them. We weren’t going to let them take these provincial capitals. They understood that American power was going to come to their village, to their community, to their friends and family.”

INTERESTING POINT - perhaps the same people that used Biden as a prop to take the White House want him out now, but didn’t want to do a 25th with Biden at a reasonable approval rating.
Now this happens, and now they can openly question his competence and could easily make their move. Interesting.

It’s probably closer to reality to say “the Biden cabal“ instead of Biden. I do not think Biden is making any decisions but we do not know who is. This seems to be a first in the history of the United States.
