For the past 18 months, fewer people have been louder than America’s celebrities when it comes to insisting that “the little people” wear masks. Showing once again that celebrities believe themselves to be above those rules, it appears that for many, if not most, of the attendees at Obama’s 60th birthday bash, there wasn’t a mask to be seen.
Tom Hanks has no respect for people wearing masks. His exact words are, “If you can’t wear a mask and wash your hands and social distance, I’ve got no respect for you, man.” George Clooney drops F-bombs at people who don’t wear masks. Bruce Springsteen has campaigned for the masses to mask up. Beyonce’s idea of wearing a mask to the Grammys was to anchor it on her nose with her sunglasses, certainly not what Dr. Fauci would recommend as even the most minimal protection from a mask is completely non-existent when it’s dangling from the bridge of your nose.
These are just four of the delightful celebrities who attended Barack Obama’s “scaled back” 60th birthday party. There were approximately 496 additional people gathered for the occasion at his Martha Vineyard mansion. Erykah Badu was kind enough to post a clip of the party, showing Obama and his closest friends dancing in close proximity sans masks. That seems strange since Obama has also urged people to wear masks.
I was under the impression that five hundred people gathered in close proximity was a super spreader event. Church services, Trump rallies, and birthday parties for less luminous individuals are labeled as super spreader events. Perhaps Obama’s 60th birthday party was too woke to be attacked by Covid or the latest monster, the delta variant of Covid, much like a BLM riot... er, sorry, BLM peaceful protest.

Obama is a very canny politician, if nothing else, and I think he was sending a message to the Biden WH: it’s over.
COVID has served as a very useful means of intimidation and control worldwide, but it’s gone on so long that the people most oppressed by it (normal people like us) are beginning to resist. Political figures like DeSantis who are resisting are moving front and center as leaders, and some of the worst of the COVID exploiters, such as Cuomo and Newsom, are falling at least in part because people resent their Covid actions during the last year and a half.
People all over the world are beginning to protest the COVID power assumed by their governments, burning their “passports,” marching in the streets and often getting their heads bashed in by the cops.
I think the smarter Dems may be afraid of something similar getting started here. I think that’s one of the reasons for the harshness of the treatment of the Jan 6 protesters, basically, to discourage people from any kind of protest and let them know that it will be considered sedition.
Obama is smart enough to know that this would not be good for his lifestyle or that of Hollywood, media-land, or his entourage of sycophant Dem politicians. So I think he’s signaling to Biden that it’s time to move on.

Don’t underestimate him. He’s dumb but a ruthless, 24/7 politician who will throw anybody under the bus to preserve his own power.
He always thought Biden was an idiot, even before he became a senile idiot, and kept him at arms length and generally out of sight during his presidency. My feeling is that Obama thinks this pandemic thing has served its purpose…and so has Joe, especially as he gets more and more confused and unpredictable, so maybe it’s time for bye-bye to both of them.
In this mask hypocrisy, don’t forget Obama’s global warming hypocrisy of buying a house that’s within about 150 yards to the sea.

Biden is Obama’s fourth term. Trump was just a hiccup while Obama had used that time to cement the perpetual power of his bureaucracy and judiciary.
