You’re pulse oximeter reading needs to be 95 or above. You also need to have high blood pressure.

What are normal readings?
A normal level of oxygen is usually 95% or higher. Some people with chronic lung disease or sleep apnea can have normal levels around 90%. The “SpO2” reading on a pulse oximeter shows the percentage of oxygen in someone’s blood.
If your home SpO2 reading is lower than 95%, call your health care provider.

Our doctor daughter, and respiratory therapist son stood by the proclamation that I was more at risk for a bad case than my wife, because I wasn't vaxxed. It's a common myth repeated by everyone, everywhere. But it's not true. It came from a reasonable source, the vaccine trials. But the number of breakthrough infections in the trials were tiny, dozens. The fact that none or few of them were severe had no statistical significance. The same claim was repeated for all the trials but all of them had the same problem, small numbers.
Actual data: 5,000 breakthrough cases in Mass. 80 deaths, 1.6% mortality. No difference from the unvaccinated cases.

Tragic.
My read of her comments spanning 5 days is that she didn’t die of COVID, but of medical malpractice.

Our doctor daughter, and respiratory therapist son stood by the proclamation that I was more at risk for a bad case than my wife, because I wasn't vaxxed. Um, wouldn't that depend on whether the "proclamation" was made before or after symptoms developed?
It DOES make sense that if Covid has gotten far enough ahead of one's immune system that the battle makes one feel sick, the course of the disease thereafter will not likely differ much from an unvaccinated person to one vaccinated. The invasion has beaten the quick response shoreline defense... (A poor analogy, but the best I can come up with at this hour.)

The doctor gave Decadron (Corticosteroids which is a steroid to reduce inflammation)
The directions for "Corticosteroids should not be used in cerebral malaria."
Plasmodium Yoelii parasite gene that forms the spikes of covid-19 (attributing the P. vivax malaria infections) P. vivax malaria (lessor form of malaria) often contributes to cerebral malaria.
Corticosteroids under side effects raises anxiety. Which added up all anxieties illnesses is the largest comorbidity of covid.
The report that claims Corticosteroids helps in covid focused on the effects of inflammation.
https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/34275096/ This evidence shows if you must go too the doctor. you really have to make sure you know what you're taking. Clearly they don't know.

“the therapy is clearly best when done within 5 days of first syptoms. I thought they’d move heaven and earth because of that.
They didn’t.”
Thank God your son was able to get you help. It blows my mind how blasé the medical establishment is when it comes to timely treatment for this disease. So people are left to find treatment themselves if they can.

There were several on her plea thread who were simply awful to her.

One in particular
That person should be banned from this forum now forever.
She was pleading for help to save her family and some were so nasty to her
That one most egregious offender ...should be kicked off this forum.
