Just feeling the need to rant just a bit before heading out to work...
Oh yeah, Erickson might have a face made for radio but he's got the most unpleasant voice and parental lecturing tone EVER.
Classical music, classic rock, holy rollers, even local AM talk radio about what's going on locally down in Tulsa. Any of the above will be playing on my radio as I'm out doing my stuff today. KRMG can take their place with the whateveritscalled.
Anybody else have an opinion about Erick Erickson to share?
Voluntary vain vanity fee paid.
I’m for having Mark Steyn all the time.
Listen to The Chris Plante show.
He’s excellent.
How can he possibly believe that the vaccines are effective? What a compleat eeediot? I saw on Fox just last night that the vaccines are the Holocaust and Maoism and the Rape of Nanking and the Holodomor all rolled into one!
He’s just another shill for TransRepublicans.
What about the Rush replacements, the duo of Buck Sexton and Clay Travis? I haven’t heard them, any take on how effective they are? My view is that the only ones worth listening to currently are Tucker Carlson, Mark Steyn and Steve Bannon with the America’s Voice crew (including Rahim, Steve Cortez and Amanda Milius) but they do tend to be repetitive in their topics at times.
He was one of the first to diss Trump after he announced his intentions to run
He disinvited Trump immediately........( someone else will have to supply the organization name or dinner or event)
Erick Erickson has been anti-Trump forever, non-stop.
He is the ultimate LOW LIFE child.
Nope...you said it very well!
Erick was banned from ever guest hosting for Rush after his anti-Trump statements.
He apologized after his life imploded.
Guy is a complete know nothing loser.
Gaydar is pegged.
Mark Kaye is out of Jacksonville, FL. One of his big breaks was filling in for the late, great, Herman Cain.
There are no good replacements for Rush.
For me, Talk Radio died with Rush Limbaugh.
No one even begins to fill his shoes. Of the herd of ‘what-to-bes’, I like Mark Steyn. But only in small doses. His style gets old quickly.
Erickson likes to lay on the charm and get folksy. But he’s a RINO as Mitt Romney.
What troubles me is he’s buddy buddy with the UnKempt Governor of Georgia who stole the election from President Trump. Bad news.
Media enemy number 1 among RINOs.
Erick Erickson was one of the original Salem Radio Trump bashers, a group that included Michael Medved and Hugh Hewitt.
Erickson was also the editor of Red State around the time that Salem bought it along with a host of other formerly conservative outlets.
Salem was basically hiring Bush GOP hacks as ‘conservative spokesmen’, I suppose with the idea that they could shape the debate and keep it safely within the bounds preferred by Jeb and Nikki and the rest of the establishment. Salem still dominates conservative media outlets, you just need to know what they are likely to be selling you.
They should have just replayed all of Rush’s old early shows, starting from Day 1. I would have listened every day, all 3 hours worth.
Idiots had to put on dopes instead. Thank goodness I get Dan Bongino.
I recall when I first heard his name I envisioned a Norse Viking.
He turned out to be the Pillsbury Dough Boy.
He was one of the first “conservative” bloggers I followed. He used to have an interesting point of view and seemed knowledgeable but it seems like something happened...? Maybe the chase for dollars or something....? Kinda strange. He went from being approachable and reasonable to shrill and snarky. He seems to be expressing jealousy a lot of the time, right? But not getting specific about what is upsetting him, instead blaming us - the listeners, readers, or whatever we are - for not being dedicated enough, or pure enough. And then he goes full-on “never Trump” and that just puzzled the bedickens out of me. DT might not be everyone’s favorite person, but the alternative was HILLARY, for Pete’s sake!! I mean, what’s wrong with saying, “I’m not crazy about this Trump fellow, but we’ve got to keep Hilldog out of the White House!” ????
To me it seems like Gr0ver N9rquist’s thugs might have “talked to” a few people because they all started getting hysterical about DT at the same time. From where I was standing it seemed like they all lost their marbles.
He’s one of those radio yakkers who thinks they’re smarter than their audience. That fat plick in Des Moines is another. Unlike Mark Levin or Mark Steyn, for instance, who actually are but don’t act like it.
Dan Bongino succeeded Rush on WJR in Detroit. I like Dan, as he isn’t afraid to sound the alarm about our situation (he’s talked a lot recently about our surveillance state, for example). He’s good at connecting dots. And he may be the hardest working man in conservative media at present.
