After his spokeswoman defended blatant rules-breaker Gwen Berry, an Olympic athlete who turned her back on the U.S. flag at an awards podium, Joe Biden now says he's all in for the Olympic rules for everyone else.
That's the only thing to be concluded with his latest statement here, as reported by the Daily Caller:
resident Joe Biden said “rules are rules” when asked about Sha’Carri Richardson’s suspension from the Olympic Team following a positive drug test.“Everybody knows what the rules were going in,” the president told reporters. “Whether those should remain the rules is a different issue.”
Richardson, if you haven't been following, is one of those examples of "hard cases." She tested positive for marijuana use following her biological mother's death, and received a disproportionate, draconian punishment for it from U.S. Olympic officials, who effectively ousted her from any hopes for an individual medal the Olympics coming up in Tokyo. She was Team USA's top runner with a strong prospect for a gold medal, and responded to what must have been a horrific disappointment, with grace and class:

Well the Olympics is allowing differing chromosomes, a lot sex change drugs and disallowing weed? Boycott the Olympics. I don’t care anymore.

Feel sorry for the athletes who work so hard to get a tricket, that will get taxed when they get home. Most of us were foolish in our youths as well.
If doing pot gets you kicked out of the Olympics, then we aren’t going to be able to send our Men’s Basketball team to Tokyo.
They’ll do selective testing. The towel boy and ball manager will be squeaky clean.

Our current government is simply Rule of Men. Now, once in a while, the opinions of the Elitists actually lines up with the written Rule of Law. But don’t let someone like Joe Biden tell you “rules are rules” in those cases. That’s just incidental. He wants what he wants. It’s Rule of Men and he expects “flexibility” as to rules.
Anarchy reigns. Especially in Democrat controlled cities and states.

I’d wager Gwen Berry had a WHOLE LOT MORE THC in her system than this year’s winner of the Kentucky Derby - Medina Spirit - had of betamethesone in his system.
Neither THC nor Betamethasone is a performance enhancing medication. But, they’re both banned, in any measurable quantity.
And yet, no one - absolutely no one - is arguing the governing bodies of horse racing shouldn’t disqualify Medina Spirit.

The rules have nothing to do with Biden. It’s up to the Olympic committee to enforce them or not enforce them.
