The Leftist takeover of our schools has gotten so bad that students are now getting expelled, not for what THEY did, but because their mothers criticized teaching them Critical Race Theory.
Three students were expelled from a private academy in Ohio after their mothers organized a campaign against their children being taught “Critical Race Theory.”
The school refused to re-enroll the students, claiming that their mothers had broken their contract by organizing a public protest against the institution.
The moms say that the academy is aiming to “indoctrinate” students with left-wing ideologies and that their children are being unfairly punished as a result of their parents’ involvement.
A blessing in disguise. Stop sending kids to those schools!
Commies never did like that “freedom of speech” thingy...
Theories are mostly Crap
yup
they should then sue for their school property taxes back
You bet! File a lawsuit ASAP!
A school district run by predators.
Okay, okay, okay... a “private academy”
This is not a public school. This is a private academy. They are now infiltrating private schools. Where do you go?
they should then sue for their school property taxes back
The article says it's a private academy, so more likely they should sue for their tuition money back.
Why are they so passionate about forcing kids to say they’re hopeless racists? There is an end goal. If a whole generation hates their country it will be MUCH easier to take over and change it from land of the free to a communist dictatorship.
Lawyers lining up? “It’s a good case, ma’am, at least $5 million”.
Which is why I was never much of a fan of vouchers, it basically would have been a way for the government to get their noses into private schools.
yeah, figured I’d comment first, then read the article afterwards...
Keyword here is “private academy”. IIRC most Freepers didn’t have a problem when a private Christian school expelled a student because her mother was an open lesbian. If it’s a private school you agree to their rules as soon as you sign on the dotted line.
Public schools are hopeless, but that doesn’t mean all private schools are good. Parents should research all the private and charter schools in their area before making any final decision.
It is time cor separation of school and state.
Homeschool, as we did. It paid off.
For elementary grades, we used mostly books from the 1840s to 1880s.
Far more advanced and more efficient to learn from than the crap printed since then.
Does this not seem like a “Don’t throw me in that brier patch!” moment? Surely these parent would rather have their children out of the government schools?
The second income for most families barely covers the costs associated with the second income.
Home schooling’s time has come, especially with all the excellent online alternatives.
