Here is excerpt from Just the News article:
The cost of gasoline has reached a seven-year high, and gas stations are expect to run out of fuel during the July 4 weekend.
The average national price for regular gas is priced at $3.10, the highest it has been since October 2014. The price is up 2% from Memorial Day and 42% from this time last year as COVID-19 pandemic restrictions brought demand to a near halt, according to CNN. snip Experts say the gas shortages expected to occur this weekend have nothing to do with the rising price of gas but are due to a shortage of tank truck drivers who supply gas to filling stations across the country.
More than 40 million Americans are set to travel for the three-day weekend, exacerbating the shortages.

no noted shortages...yet
We have filled all of our tanks.
Here in Texas it got up to $2.85 a gallon.
No one is panicking but the gasoline lines at Sams are longer than usual.
I agree. The “shortages” screed smells like MSM panic porn.
But if they repeat the lie enough... people will be out hoarding gas like a few months ago....then there will be shortages.
Thanks.
I would expect lots of people filling up - getting ready to travel.
Just heard on America’s Voice news that “some states are experiencing shortages or will due to lack of drivers” (which backs up what was stated in the article I posted. Wish they would state which states are having issues...
Prices are going up — that is for sure :(
Someone posted $4.29/gal yesterday...I can only hope that was for premium.
Try here https://www.gasbuddy.com/ Click on ‘find gas’ then make your choice of location. Gas is about 50 cents cheaper in Carson City NV than it is in Reno. Go figure. Almost a dollar less in Vegas.
It's an app called "Gas Buddy." Download it to your phone.
Bridgeport Ca on US 395-—$5.37
Normally I’d say “great minds” and all that, but clearly you won because you took the time to link it.
LOL!
Thanks—we use it...Thinking about getting their app, but not sure can use it with Shell—Shell has their own app. There certainly is a difference between different station prices.
I don’t get the cheapest—tho I may change my buying Shell mid to premium if gas hits $4.25 like it did under barry...
As they say, “Many hands make light work,” so if people who are filling up or are interested post their local situation, we can all benefit :)
GasBuddy has become indispensable since it came out, especially when traveling.
$5.37...Ouch! Is that reg., mid., or premium grade?
I have the app...
I just thought first-hand accounts from Freepers would be interesting and helpful :)
Reg.
just gassed up $2.98 Hobe Sound, Fl
$3.58 today is least expensive in Reno. I think that’s a station that delivers 85 octane.
Have never used this app (no cellphone) but hear it advised all the time on local talk radio.

Anybody use it ? Reviews?
My condolences—I can see why you would be looking to get gas over state lines...Tho the weather and scenery are wonderful much of the year in CA.
