I am working with a new (for me) vendor for an HR system (niche player).

We were showing “our” data load spreadsheet, it had a column labelled “Race” and another “Sex” that only accepted M or F.

It was great but I don’t think I have seen those as fieldnames in 25+ years — “Ethnicity” and “Gender” have been the preferred for at least that long.

No one yelped so I guess it is OK after all.
