Biden Threatens to Nuke Americans but Manages to Blow Up a Big Democrat Narrative Instead

Earlier today, as RedState reported, Joe Biden launched into another dementia-laden rant where he talked about nuking Americans and shooting deer in kevlar vests. No, I’m not being facetious. That actually happened (see Biden Accidently Makes Best Ever for Second Amendment in Speech Promoting Gun Control Initiatives).

In one of the best arguments for the Second Amendment ever spoken by a president, Biden asserted that no one can stand up to the government without F-15s and nuclear weapons. He seems to have a thing for the F-15, having mentioned it several times in this context and perhaps not realizing that the U.S. Military has an array of other fighter-bombers to murder U.S. citizens with. I mean, if you gonna threaten to vaporize your countrymen, at least diversify a bit.

BIDEN: "Those who say the blood of Patriots, you know, and all the stuff about how we’re gonna have to move against the government… If you think you need to have weapons to take on the government, you need F-15s and maybe some nuclear weapons." pic.twitter.com/BDawoxvMcd

The arguments against this are legion. I could point out that in order to nuke your own citizens, you’d need to have a military willing to do that. Even though I don’t trust the military as far as I can throw them when it comes to protecting the rights of Americans, I’m skeptical any military leader would order a tactical nuclear strike on Montana.

I could also note that rights are not based on whether they ultimately achieve a given outcome. When I vote, I may fail to elect the politician I want. My right to vote still exists regardless. The Second Amendment, which clearly was meant to allow citizens to bear military-grade arms, doesn’t cease to exist if the government gets powerful enough to defeat the exercising of it. Of course, there’s also the reality that the American military has been repeatedly thwarted by low-tech insurgencies because war is a lot more complicated than F-15s and nukes.

Regardless, it was something else that stuck out to me while watching Biden rant about things he has no knowledge of. Namely, that what he’s saying blows up the Democrats’ January 6th narrative.

Stick with me here. If Biden and his party truly believe the government is so all-powerful that any possible rebellion would be put down with ease, then how does that square with their claims that our “democracy” was on the brink of destruction on January 6th because some unarmed people took selfies in Pelosi’s office? Either our system of government is so fragile that a dude in horns and facepaint can threaten its existence, or it’s so untouchable that the government would just nuke anyone who got within a mile of doing any harm to it. Which is it? Because it can’t be both.

Are you starting to see how the Democrats’ views on guns and government power shift on a dime in order to sustain their political narratives?

The truth is that if enough Americans felt the government had become tyrannical and rose up against it with arms protected by the Second Amendment, things would be a lot more complicated and gray than “well, the military has nukes.” We’ve seen that reality play out in foreign countries many times. Further, the very fact that Biden would threaten such is yet more proof the Second Amendment must be protected.

Going back to January 6th, as I’ve said several times before, there was no insurrection or imminent danger to our system of government. To pretend that for partisan gain was always pure hysteria mixed with cynicism. I’m just glad Biden came out and made that clear, even if he didn’t realize it.

I think Biden was a fool for saying this stuff out loud - and it will for sure come back to bite him…

… but to be fair, he wasn’t threatening to use nukes on the American people.

He was trying to discredit the idea that the 2nd amendment serves primarily as the people’s defense against government tyranny. He was saying that for that to be true, the “arms” available to the people would have to match the arms available to the government.

It’s a valid point - but a very stupid one that is sure to backfire on whoever uses it (which is why Democrats other than Biden are smart enough not to use it).

Obviously, pro 2nd Amendment Americans are not going to respond to that by shrugging their shoulders and saying “Oh well, if we can’t have nukes then I guess you can take away all our weapons.”

If anything, it would cause Americans to double down on their support for the 2nd Amendment.

Biden is an idiot, but he wasn’t threatening to use nukes on the American people.

I say this not to come to Biden’s defense - I don’t care what happens to him. Go ahead and use is own words against him - that’s great - I hope he chokes on them.

I say this because it is the truth and the MAGA movement is stronger when it is grounded in the truth. We should say what we need to say for political advantage - but let’s not delude ourselves.

It was disturbing to hear Biden ‘attempt’ to quote Jefferson (The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.)as a means to describe it is the Jefferson quoting Patriots he’d nuke.

Just look at 4 star General Millie Millicent. Not exactly Ike, Bradley, LeMay, Patton etc.

He was mocking Patriots by basically saying ‘if you feel you need to stand against tyranny (he tried to quote Jefferson), then good luck with your guns because we can nuke ya.

If you said to your neighbor, if you pull out your knife, good luck because I’ve got a rifle and will use it. That is a confrontational threat.

Indians gave a lot of grief for 350 years. Heavily outnumbered and out gunned too.

A nuke isn’t going to help Xiden to herd me into a truck to ship me off to a concentration camp, but an AR and 1500 rounds of ammo in my hands will sure as heck make it a lot harder for him to do that.

Biden: "If you think you need to have weapons to take on the government, you need F-15s and maybe some nuclear weapons."

Idiot! That's like saying that it would be appropriate to confiscate printing presses from ordinary citizens because the government controls the Internet anyway.

It would be like the government preventing you from exercising your 5th Amendment Right (against self-incrimination) because they already have your fingerprints on the murder weapon.

I repeat: Idiot!

Regards,

In fact, should he not now be impeached for trying to incite violence?

Biden is speaking with all his brain tied behind his back, and it’s noticeable and worrisome.

Joe says you need F-15s to overthrow the US government, but unarmed protestors on 1/6 were staging an insurrection. . . . Soo, which is it, Joe?????

Were I rotting in jail for being present at the Capitol on 1/6, I would expect my lawyer to bring up that statement to the judge. The fact is, Joe is intentionally holding political prisoners. You cannot get any more UN-American than that. . . . Our President is attacking American citizens . . . DISGUSTING!!!!!!!!!!

It would be worse than Afghanistan. All the clerks, purchasing agents, maintenance people etc that keep the government running have to live amongst the rest of us.

How would life be for a known government employee, if his neighbor up the street just found out his son had been “disappeared” by government agents?

No, it wasn’t a threat.

But you are right that he was mocking those of us who believe the 2nd Amendment is our defense against government tyranny.

Lots of Americans believe the 2nd Amendment is so that we can enjoy hunting.

Lots of Americans believe the 2nd Amendment is so that we can defend our families and our properties against criminals.

Some Americans believe it is so that we could form militias in the event of a foreign invasion.

Some in rural and wilderness areas believe it is so that we can defend against wild animals.

The Americans who studied history know that it is all of the above - but especially to defend against government tyranny.

Gun-grabbing Democrats and RINOs will discredit all of those pro-gun arguments whenever they encounter them. But the argument they fear the most is the last one - that the 2nd Amendment was passed to deter government tyranny.

These gun-grabbing Democrats are EXACTLY the would-be-tyrants the Founders had in mind when they wrote the 2nd Amendment into the Bill of Rights.

THAT is why Biden said what he said - not to threaten Americans with nukes - but to mock and belittle the supporters of the second Amendment they fear the most - those of us who believe it is a deterrence against government tyranny.

Biden thought that by pointing out how powerful US military weaponry is, he could make our support cut the 2nd Amendment look futile and foolish.
