Texas and Arizona Governors Ask Other States to Send Police to Border as Crisis Rages
The Western Journal ^ | June 11, 2021 at 5:13pm | Kipp Jones

The Republican governors of Texas and Arizona sent a letter Thursday to governors across the country asking for law enforcement resources to confront the growing crisis on the country’s southern border.

In the joint letter from Gov. Greg Abbott and Doug Ducey, they asked their peers across the country to send officers to the border to help them stem the illegal flow of guns, drugs and people.

“In response to the ongoing surge of illegal border crossings, with the accompanying threats to private property and to the safety of our citizens, Governor Abbott has declared a disaster and Governor Ducey has declared an emergency,” said the letter, which was described as an “urgent request” for reinforcements.

The two border-state governors blamed the crisis on the Biden administration.

“When it comes to the Biden Administration’s open-border disaster, our greatest need is for additional law enforcement personnel and equipment,” they wrote.

Abbott and Ducey said that under the emergency and disaster declarations and the governors’ compact, out-of-state officers have jurisdiction to arrest people streaming across the border illegally.

“With your help, we can apprehend more of these perpetrators of state and federal crimes before they can cause problems in your state,” the governors wrote.

“Texas and Arizona have stepped up to secure the border in the federal government’s absence, and now, the Emergency Management Assistance Compact gives your State a chance to stand strong with us,” they said.

It’s an invasion, the Constitution says the federal government is required to repel.

Same Constitution says Obama and Harris are ineligible.

It’s a relic in a glass case when no one will uphold it.

All Gregg Abbott needs to do is ask. There 1000s of men in Texas that would volunteer as border guards. Give us two weeks training and provide a shirt, hat and 50 round of nine millimeter ammo.

I don’t walk well du to osteoarthritis in my feet but I for an extra pain killer.

Why don’t those governors just call up there national guard units and put them on the border? The governors have control of those units don’t they?

My Bordertown temperature today reached 108° I can’t even imagine what the children and mothers who are walking through the desert right now to cross the border are going through. The Chihuahuas desert is unforgiving. Biden and Kamala need to be held accountable and pay for this big time! Did you know that our county has been asking for body bags since the beginning of the invasion? The mediapukes refuse to report on the gory parts of this invasion!

Talked to a guy who fights wildfires. Claims that the MOFOS are starting fires to draw attention away from the areas they are crossing at.

Just watch where those fires are happening.

Perfect! The big cities can get rid of the police that they hate and we get enforcement on the border. It’s a win-win all the way around.
